What difference does it make if you heard the news yesterday? If it is a tour, tickets always go on sale within the next week or later, and an email is sent to all members with details. Even if they make the announcement next week, the ticket presale still wouldnt be for a while after the announcement.

It actually makes a big difference. If I recall correclty, the last time tihs happened we only had a few days after the tweet to the day the tickets went on sale (to plan for travel and get tickets this is tough)

Also, with thanksgiving two days away, some people might not be in the best position to focus on this. Personally, I am going to be without an internet connection for a few days, so i'd like to know what's going in case I need to scramble for tickets! ;)

I also recall the last tweet said a specific date, and they held true to it, so members were given 5 days in advance already about the tour announcement, and tix went on sale 4-6 days after the announcement. But wouldnt you buy tickets than make travel arrangements? Seems a little odd to try and schedule a trip before you know if you have or dont have tickets to a show.

I understand your stress with Thanksgiving coming up, but if you were gone from the internet for a few days, you probably wont miss a presale, and if you do, just buy from the general sale. There is no reason that people should be stressed because of a possible Pearl Jam tour announcement, and they arent there to hear about it the day of.

Kat, I would imagine your hands are tied as to what you are allowed to or are not allowed to say, but I really hope you are speaking to the people who have the power to change the precedents on how much information you can divulge, and how you divulge it. They should be made aware of the frustration of those of us who are posting legitimate complaints on this thread.

Funny. But I only say that because it appeared nobody got hurt. But I'm sure there were some racing hearts as they slid down that hill.

    No news then?
  • it's a FANclub, not a country club. I don't expect any level of service when I'm paying less than 50 cents per week to be here, along with a free vinyl and magazine NOT TO MENTION THE AMAZING MYSTERY DEALS FROM THE PAST WEEK. gimme a break.

I now believe whatever it is will not happen until after the holiday.
Starting to think the the lolla Chile thing might have an impact.
I think they tweeted early so we would not bitch that they tweeted right before the Thanksgiving weekend-when we all should be, and probably would be, thinking about and doing other things.

Yeah, you're probably right. I thought there was less time in between last time, but dont remember for sure. Regardless, I doubt anythings coming to the south of USA anyways!

Right ok, you asked a question. Why did I come here? The simple answer to see if there was any news or development

What do you find a mixture of people

having fun and a load moaning about this 10club service they feel they are deprived of. The latter is where the problem lies, mainly because it happens every time, but this is how it is and it's not about to

change. Yet still the same people start on 'customer service this and that'.

At least a warning is given, if there was no warning they would be lambasted.

Really were waiting on some four dates for next year... With the way some people are behaving you'd think they were waiting for the results of their heart scan

The news will come.. Really what's the problem?
    [quote\]
did you stop what you were doing to come and tell everyone that they needed to find something else to do and then explain to then how to properly scan the site for the announcement?
ah your one of them then?
i guess i am one of "them"
why shouldnt everyone be free to choose the way the wait for the announcement? whether its with the excitement of a child at Christmas or utlra cool smugness
