    Montage Mtn right?

    Where do you live?

Did I ask you that already? (beats me :D)

I don't think you asked me. Yep, Montage Mountain(Lollapalooza) I was actually pulled onto the stage because of the rush at one point. Right now I live in Pennsburg, PA(near Quakertown). At that time I lived in Royersford, PA(near King of Prussia). I haven't met to many people who were at a show that early on let alone this particular show. That's awesome!!

I think it comes from the frustration that when they make an announcement (at least in the recent past) you only have about 2 days to figure stuff out at the most. Otherwise, it'd be no big deal to wait for the announcement and I do like the heads up Tweets.

Then be happy you have more time instead of whining about something they never promised.
Clearly you're missing the point - in the past, 10C have set a precedent whereby they announce an announcement at week's end, and then make the announcement the next week's beginning. Generally, if a business is dealing with a client, if a client expects an update one day, and has reason to hold that expectation (a set precedent, for example), it is the business's responsibility to alert the client of a change in plans.

I guess my problem is that too many people here think that a fan-band relationship ought to be treated differently than a business-client relationship, which I disagree about. I don't see why people forgive the Ten Club for things they wouldn't forgive any other business for. If 10C were a physical store, the staff would turn around to face the wall and pretend not to hear you when you asked them a question, unless the crowd were starting to get a bit frustrated, at which point you would receive an answer with as little information as possible. People would then flock to the Pearl Jam socks, which would be announced with a 10% off coupon code TAKEMYMONEYPLEASE.

Trust me I've been a member since 1992, I know how they work and you are right it does usually come early that next week. However there is no hardened rule about it. hahahahahaha. With the 10 Club, patience is always a virtue.

Fair enough... it just seems like they do things consistently one way, and then on a whim switch to some other way, and from my perspective (and I would assume others agree) all that leads to is frustration.

I don't know what his problem still is. This was forever ago already. Things popped up that were more pressing financially and honestly I forgot about the posters for a while(which I apologized for) and wasn't visiting the boards so I didn't see his messages. He just can't accept it and continues to troll the boards bashing me thinking I purposely left him hanging when that wasn't the case at all. It's hysterical to me that a year later he is still whining about this. Hey, if he wants to be a bitter person that's up to him.

I'm no longer going to entertain his trolling. I guess he thinks saying he hopes my dog dies and that he was with my wife is funny. I can guarantee you she wouldn't even look twice at him.

Lets get one thing straight...I would never wish harm on anyone's dog. Ever. EVER. That is messed up.

Second of all....your recollection of the events is skewed. You were unapologetic and every time you would forget about it and I would contact you, you said you still wanted them. This happened multiple times over a period of months. Finally at the end, you told me to stop crying about it and were completely ignorant. And it wasn't a year ago either. Yeah, I am a little biter because I held on to those posters for you and lost money and you couldn't have been more ignorant about the whole thing and on top of that, you did it to other people too.

Consider this the end. I have stated my beef multiple times now and hopefully enough people have seen it to know not to deal with you. Might want to cool it with talking down to people though, particularly in this thread. People don't like that at all. Don't be mean. You were so nice when you initially contacted me so why not go back to that instead of telling people what to do and to stop whining?

RedMosquito22 - Last night it really felt to me like you were just 'kicking back', chilling, and throwing stones around with careless abandon, like you were completely invincible. It was kind of irritating. Then hopethatuchoke pops up, and you start laying into him about 'hocking posters', out of the blue as far as I could tell. Then it turns out he actually has a bit of a grievance about you, which he has stated pretty clearly and objectively. But I still get the sense that you are just 'way cool' and gonna sit back there saying whatever pops into your head, and not expecting any come back.

I was always brought up to believe that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and it seems to me you are in a bit of a glass house here yourself, so why don't you just tone down with the smugness and let us worry about the tweeting please?

  • honestly didn't mean to cause a rukus. back to the matter at hand, I have a question: a member about 80 pages back said "what if it's new merch" or something to that effect. I answered that that's unlikely because tweets were, to my knowledge, all for show announcements. Now, is that correct, or did I speak out of turn? Is it possible that this tweet for making sure your address is up to date is really about the annual gift? has a tweet ever been about anything but a show/tour?
