Tom Petty is rereleasing his DVD documentary film, and one of the bonus features will be with Eddie Vedder performing The Waiting. There's a crappy YouTube version out there of the performance.

Warner Brothers. Records will release Peter Bogdanovich's film Runnin' Down A Dream: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as a two-disc DVD, complete with added previously unreleased bonus performances, on October 28. Unlike the 4-disc box set which was only available at Best Buy stores, this newly released two-disc package of the film will be available everywhere in the U.S. and Canada.

The two-disc set will contain the entire four-hour film plus three bonus performances.

The Bonus Performances:

Too Much Ain't Enough, recorded Live At The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, December 31, 1978- Santa Monica, CA. Directed by Michael K. Mannes.

The Waiting (featuring Eddie Vedder), recorded Live At Pepsi Center, July 3, 2006- Denver, CO. Directed by Michael Drumm and edited by Martyn Atkins and William Bullen.

Mystic Eyes (Van Morrison), recorded Live At The Greek Theatre, October 27, 2006- Berkeley, CA. Directed by Adria Petty.

    I was there!

I'm glad I waited on picking this up -as I'd rather have this newer version with bonus footage.

I WANT THIS. It's the best of both worlds... Eddie and Petty. Wow, that was cheesy.

Damn TP... raking in the dough again.

And to the OP, The Waiting was on the previous release. Although I don't know if it was the same performance, but I imagine it is.

This is cool, but I'm gonna just stick with the 4 disc set I got last year. :D I hate when bands and record companies do this, but at least the 4 disc version came first.
