I know absolutely nothing about surfing, but that looks like some big-ass wave :!:

that said if we show the demand for it, maybe it will be squeezed in. However im sure eddie wont want to be away from his family too much during the year....what he said on day 2 of the 2010 euro tour still resonates with me......his little speach before life wasted about missing his family really hit home.....

Im a family guy, I love seeing them every day, so althopugh im sure they love playing to us, and being away for periods is part of their job, they still wont enjoy that aspect
    (a) I think it is very clear that the demand is there, as shown by this and numerous other threads. :)
    (b) Why not take his family with him on a nice little road trip? Switzerland is very nice for kids in the spring, Ed! ;) (Y'all can crash at my place, too, if you like.)

Nice idea I guess, but does he want his family out on the road country hopping? His kiddies are only little.....perhaps he wants them more settled....i could be wrong, I do like your idea...and I agree switzerland is one glorious place - I think i preferred it to Austria....

But London tops them both (in terms of an ed ved solo date  ), and perhaps Ed could bring them over to see the royal wedding??
Perhaps Ed could sing at the royal wedding? :?

I agree on the traveling bit though, might be too exhausting with 2 little kids. On the other hand though, as long as they aren't in school (or are they?) it's still feasible. Later on, not so much I guess.

I'd go to London too though, no problem - wherever they want me (and I can afford to go  ).

Roundhouse is where recently the Robert Plant electric prom was done, it was shown on BBC 2 a couple of weeks back, the club has been in existance a long time, pink floyd played the opening night gig there back in the '60s. it's a good size.

Now that I've given this more thought, I'm crossing my fingers that the 10c, as so many other poor souls before them and countless more to come, have got Australia and Austria mixed up...

Aileen’s, the perfect wave break at the base of the Cliffs of Moher that exploded on to the world’s surfing radar in recent years, now has a new rival as Ireland’s most spectacular surf spot.

The latest wave, dubbed “Prowlers” by the hardy crew of Irish, British and South African surfers who first ventured out on it yesterday, breaks on an undersea reef about 2km (1.2 miles) off the west coast. While they are refusing to disclose its exact location, the surfers, including Andrew Cotton, reveal they have been waiting five years for the type of conditions required to surf it.

These materialised when the massive swell generated by Hurricane Tomas slammed into Ireland yesterday, creating intensely heavy, tubing waves with 12-15m (40-50ft) faces.

Please remove this post, so as not to distract him from the task at hand. A tour to Australia :D:D:D

Y'see now, I just think we're not thinking this thing out fully... Man behind the curtain, scarecrow... yes, that does point to Oz, but not necessarily Oz-tralia. Where in Oz did the man behind the curtain live? The Emerald City... that is, Seattle. And what did Ed say in Dublin during the summer? "We have so much in common...you're the Emerald Isle, we're the Emerald City..." And "one man stands alone" is from Force of Nature, a song which mentions hurricanes, just like the one that brought those waves across the Atlantic to Ireland...

I thnk it's fairly obvious this all adds up to a solo tour of the pub firesides of Ireland...

Pretty sure he bought the family down to Oz/NZ last year. I'm sure we saw them all sidestage during the openers.

Yeah I can see where you are going with this.... It probably is Ireland - seeing as the Wizard behind the screen was morally bankrupt, and Ireland are currently, well..... just ordinarily bankrupt. It has to be Ireland for these reasons alone. Also, sure to include London .... because they have a lot of nice birds there - so the tweet tweet tweet title is probably a reference to that.

Those Antipodeans have been a bit too quick to celebrate I think. When they realise Ed is actually coming to the UK and Ireland, they are going to be well gutted.
