God those bands are so lame with their skinny designer jeans and $120 tshirts that look like they were bought at the local Goodwill store. Oh but that's the whole idea isn't it? Much effort that looks like no effort at all. And let's not forget about the much-efforted bedhead hair.

I would want to see Ben Harper joining them on stage though.

Ed seems to not mind Julian Casablancas.

and i love Ben Harper, but he is a self proclaimed fashion whore.
    Peace, Love.

Thats my short list of "realistic" [though remote] possibilities.

I'd like to be able to add
    Michael Stipe
    Frank Black
    and
    Eugene Kelly

    to that list.

Change the skinny designer jeans to flannel shirts and I think you've just described Pearl Jam and that whole movement in the 1990s.

Sounds like you just described the Kings of Leon with Ed as the frontman.

Oh I like them too :) They used to look like guys from the 70's rock scene. Now no one wears skinnier jeans than they do.

I am in love with all 3 of there albums. JUst to be able to see them with PJ is as perfect as it gets for me. My 2 favorite bands.

Saw them at Radio City Music Hall a few months ago and they just tore it up..

didnt realize the anti-strokes sentiment on here. they are a very good band with an admittedly questionable fashion sense. to each his own. ed has been quoted as really liking the strokes and julians delivery as a singer.

Umm, if you're a serious rock-n-roll outfit, for the most part, wouldn't you try and eschew being featured for your fashion in Esquire, neh?

I hope we get a few dates here on the West Coast and that Kings of Leon open for them. That would be perfect!

Amen! But please note, Ted Leo is just as spec-fuckin-tacular ... I'm psyched to see him open for PJ when I head back east!

    Good God that is disturbing.

Love their music, but they just took a major dive in the cool department
