  • One of the most underrated/undermentioned PJ moments on the boards...Alive - Irvine, CA - 2003.

Greatest version of Alive's solo that I've heard, admittedly biased because I was there...but come on. You just can't top this one. Listening to the boot, you completely forget that the first solo is behind the head. So much power here.

I saw this on Palladia last week and thought it was pretty crazy......

Black Buffalo 2003 is a good one too, but I'm sure there's many many more that could make the list......

    I like this too

  • Thank you so much for a) starting this thread & b) for posting this video. I had never seen this one before. Amazing stuff, man. I've been listening to this single performance for the last hour, prompted me to do a little blog entry on it. If anyone's interested: http://thebrams.tumblr.com/post/1531627 ... work-today

You absolutely cannot top Mike's solo from Mansfield II (7/3/03) during Alive. This show is overshadowed again and again by Mansfield III (the experiment) because of its uniqueness (length and acoustic set)....but the energy in night 2 is the best of the three. McCready has amazing solo after solo (LBC, You Are are two songs you dont tend to think of Mike's solo's, but you do on these versions. But the MacDaddy of them all is the Alive solo of this show...it can't be beat by anything post 95'. It is the Alive solo of the decade.

    This.

I wasn't there. But pull this boot. It is perfect. The tone is perfect. The crowd reaction when he starts the solo is perfect. When I want to hear Alive live, this is the go to version for me.

Cool blog! You hit everything dead on about this performance of "Nothing as it Seems"
I think this is the best video of this song out there.
