    My Red Sox tattoo was painful because the artist kept going over and over it, layering ink so it would look like it had texture. My little black Lab silhouette wasn't bad at all.

    It's like being stung by a wasp. You have the initial sting of the needle, which really isn't all that bad. Then, about 45 seconds later, burrrrrrn and you go :shock: holy shit that hurts! But by then you are committed and there's no turning back.

    I'm a wuss. If I can get through it without having them stop, or crying, or squirming, then you can for sure.

    Mine are on the outside of each ankle.

    Color is nice but might need touching up over time. I've had my red Red Sox logo since 2004 (day after they won the ALCS) and it's fine. My black Lab is from 2007 (when the Late, Great Seamus died) and also looks fine.
