The End brings me to tears...
Also, Off He Goes chokes me up because I think of my old friend Alan every time I hear it... always on the move..always saying goodbye.
Sleight of Hand is a pretty sad song as well. I knew a guy who was so much like the man described in that song. He had no life other than his mundane job working at a paper factory. It wasn't what he dreamed life would be, but it was what it was.

Come back, Release, Black, Indifference, and maybe this one isn't that sad but Lukin II from MSG this past May, something about Eddie's voice and the strings.0

BlackDalai Lama—To say that humility is an essential ingredient in our pursuit of spiritual transformation may seem to be at odds with what I have said about the need for confidence. But there is clearly a distinction to be made between valid confidence or self-esteem, and conceit - which we can describe as an inflated sense of importance, grounded in a false image of self.0

+1 Indeed..
+2 heartbreakingly sad :(0 -
I think all the songs mentioned are sad. Some of my favorites are Come Back, Release, and Black. I've never heard the song the original poster linked to youtube, but wow!!! That is a sad song. I can totally see the connection to losing a loved one. It has a very melancholy (sp??) feel to it.0

All those mentioned. One other song is Soon Forget. It sort of makes me sad and also spurs me on, to not be that guy.If it doesn't get dirt, grease or blood under your nails, it's not a hobby.0

Parting Ways... it just seems so final ... no hope at all.“The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.” Mark Twain0
