  • I respect the way that Weezer puts out music. Some of it may be sub par, but at least they appear to be working and putting stuff out for the people to hear. Unlike another band I know that spent almost three years on a 37 minute album..... :o
  • Weezer was a very integral part of my youth. Then they started putting out shit. However, I have embraced the Hurley album and I think it's a throwback to their early days. Just my 2cents.

Big fan actually... Obviously loved the first two albums, but I actually enjoy the Red Album a lot...
    Getting Hurley tonight... Woo Hoo...

I think you'll enjoy it. Trainwrecks, Unspoken, Wheres my Sex?, and Hang On are all really good songs. There are a couple duds on there, but if you're a Weezer fan, you'll really like most of it. Rivers is still a wordsmith.

You try to play cool like you just dont care

Yup. Wordsmith. I really like the red album, the above lyrics included - tho I'm not sure why. Oh, yeah, because River's not joking. He really thinks he's the greatest man that ever lived. That makes it funnier to me.

I'm a weezer fan, the first 2 albums are great. Like alot of the later stuff too, but not as much as blue and pinkerton.

Enjoy songs on all the albums thououghly enough. I though Hurley and Ratitude were good listens.

Hate stuff like this - there are FAR worse bands out there playing Weezer's style of music. Despite the average-to-terrible run of albums from Make Believe to Raditude, they'll always be one of my favourite bands. Hurley's the best thing they've released since Maladroit IMO (the only shame being that nearly every song has an external co-writer - Desmond Child, Linda Perry, Ryan Adams, even the guy from Semisonic!!).

I have several Weezer "albums" that just barely crack the 30 minute mark. I still enjoy some of their early stuff but Make Believe led me to believe they don't deserve my hard-earned money anymore.

I've never been a big fan but if I put together that kind of cash to offer a band to quit, I could think of many other bands I would pick over Weezer.
  • Nickelback/Theory of a Deadman/Papa Roach/Disturbed/Korn/etc.

like someone else stated earlier, at about the halfway point of the green album they should have stopped. pinkerton is a masterpiece and is one of the most personal and heartfelt albums i have ever heard. i think their current musical direction would not have happened if matt sharp was still in the band...i still would not waste a cool 10 million on making them quit, how about just not listening to them???

  • Weezer is great .........seems to be kind of a strange offer

.....I would definately chip in for Nickleback to throw in the towel!!!!

I thought Pat Wilsons (the drummer) response was brilliant
