HA! I just took a trip down memory lane last weekend w/ Hartford 6/27/08. What an amazing show that was...Mikey killed the solo on Big Wave (and im not even a huge fan of that song, but for that version)...and Sad was killer!! And your right...I have no idea how they had the energy after the sweat fest that was 6/27/08...I actually just found my ticket stub for that night...its in 2 pieces, and you can hardly read the type on it from the beer and sweat...crazy...what a great night...
I love this band for that - giving us the opportunity to relive these fantastic moments in time...pop in the boot and you remember how great it was to be a part of this... Only bad thing about that, is you listen to a boot of a show you missed and say, damn...why didnt I go to that show?!?!?

There are way to many of those for me. I have had a rough run of missed PJ shows. I should have been to every Boston area show since 98 but life has a way of fuckin that up. Thank god for bootlegs.

Ain't nothing like that Hartford show. One of those shows where you just had to be there. That's how I feel. Mike was definitely on fire the ENTIRE night! But Stone stole the show with the solos for Not For You and Fuckin' Up.

thats the one where there was that really long pause and the whole crowd started banging on the seats during better man? I know it was one of those nights in mansfield...that shit was crazy...doesnt come across quite the same on the boot - had to be there to really feel it - see Ed's face in awe of what was going on...

Im all for the death penalty, but honestly, it seems the easier way out sometimes...let those fuckers sit and rot in jail for the rest of their lives...I feel so bad for the father who survived that horrific night....Hopefully he can rest a little bit easier knowing that justice has been served. My question tho, is how did they not convict him on the arson charge, but convict him on the murder charges, when they said the cause of death for all was the fire?? Either way, guilty on 16 out of 17 counts is good.

I'm not for the death penalty but a case like this needs to have it. That's two I will support the death penalty for; the other was the guy who raped and killed my friend this year.

Nope. Not a chance. It was a "lightening in the bottle" type occurrence. Capacity for Great Woods is 20k, while capacity for HCC is 16k. The other reason I think it woulda been unlikely in Hartford (or Boston or MSG, for that matter) is that Ed stopped and praised the crowd, which I'd never seen him do before. There's usually a short pause before he goes "Oh oh oh oh", but at Mansfield 1, he gestured to the crowd. And we all just lost it. Even the second night (June 30, I believe), Ed didn't give us the chance to repeat the magic, he just went right into the song. The HCC crowd was crazy and loud, but I doubt it would match that night.

But remember...we were inside in the HCC so that would've made a huge difference. He was already praising us the whole night. He would've given us that first verse and chorus.

They are so beautiful and regal. I wanna go there and watch them. Penguins are the shit. They are always dressed to the 9s with their tux. In college, my roommate and I looked into adopting a penguin. Apparently all you need is a temperature controlled room in your house. Imagine the amount of ladies I coulda got taking my penguin for a walk thru campus. They woulda friggin loved that. But he'd be my best friend. I could talk to him about anything and everything and never feel like he's judging me. They are so amazing. Clearly the proudest and most esteemed member of the animal kingdom. I'd love to party with the penguins down in Antarctica. Just give me warm clothes, an iPod chock full of Pearl Jam and MMJ, a tent and a supply of Sam Adams and I'd be good to go.

And about the Cheshire case...screw those guys..they deserve to fry!!! Im all for the death penalty, but honestly, it seems the easier way out sometimes...let those fuckers sit and rot in jail for the rest of their lives...I feel so bad for the father who survived that horrific night....Hopefully he can rest a little bit easier knowing that justice has been served. My question tho, is how did they not convict him on the arson charge, but convict him on the murder charges, when they said the cause of death for all was the fire?? Either way, guilty on 16 out of 17 counts is good.
