For the hockey fans on this site, New York Rangers great Brian Leetch had his jersey retired last night at the Garden. Apparently, Ed was supposed to make an appearance. Here's the newspaper link:

"In the end, scheduling conflicts having kept Bobby Orr, Derek Jeter and Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder from attending."

that is pretty cool. i knew leetchie was a fan, but i didn't realize he was buds with ed.

too bad he couldn't make it. t'was a nice ceremony, and well-deserved for #2.
i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam

    i was there,
and as is the style of Brian Leetch- total class.
i dont really see Ed breaking out into " The Man Of The Hour " ,
or even how he wouldve been involved too much-- other then sitting up in the Suites,
    but nice gesture anyway.

Saw Leetch at the first MSG show in 98'. Think he was there w/ Richter but I didn't see him. Also saw Sean Penn there. Walked right by us on the street.
