  • I'm not trying to be a :( , but does no one else find it weird that a bunch of people are congratulating people they don't know? "I'm so happy for them!" is odd to me. I feel like this is Entertainment Tonight or TMZ or something. I didn't even know his fiance's name until I saw this thread. I actually forgot he was engaged at all.

ok so why is it wierd that we congratulate people we don't know... hasn't a friend ever told ya of their OWN friends getting married and you've said "tell them congratulations"? seriously ,it's a beautiful thing, And it deserves a congratulatory note I think.. Besides the members of this band have sort of all been inpspirational to me in one way shape form of another.. I feel it's ok to say "Hey good to hear of you nuptuals, good luck and much happiness." Maybe it's just me, but as a fan, it seems only normal to be happy for those who make us happy, ya know?

I don't think it's weird. It's a Pearl Jam forum and this is happy news for a member of the band. We know that there is a chance that Ed will find out about these messages so I think it's nice that people are wishing them well. I've never met Ed or Jill but I'm glad that they're happy together. Similarly, I have never met any other 10C members but if someone posted on the AET forum that they were getting married I'd congratulate them too.
