    I might be wrong about this, but I think t his thread will be locked. I think band members personal lives information is off limits. If it am wrong Congrats!

    There was another thread about the subject not too long ago. (As in, a bit earlier today.) I can't seem to find it now.

    If the couple themselves put it in magazines and newspapers, it would be a whole other deal. But they didn't.

    Also, it's clearly mentioned in the forum guidelines that the band members' private lives are out of bounds.

    Nothing annoys me more than tight ass board members.

    It's in Rolling Stone magazine for god sakes, the guy got married. Eddie is a celebrity, therefore is subject to the same crap they all go through, which is having their personal lives broadcasted everywhere.

    If they don't like it, find another profession.

    Anyways, congrats Ed!

    The thing is though, when you're (not especially you, everyone) posting on this forum, you are expected to follow the guidelines given. Such guidelines don't apply to Rolling Stone or any other magazine out there.

    Of course, maybe a congratulatory thread is perfectly fine in this case. If so, I will gladly admit that I was right but that there are always exceptions. ;)

    I just don't see the issue. Eddie and the boys are not above celebrity journalism. And when it' written about, it's most certainly going to be talked about, especially on the bands own forum.

    My whole thing was, if the mods and the band have a big problem, then they'll deal with it and get rid of the post themselves. It just becomes too much when the fan police show up preaching about the privacy of a rock star. Just seems silly.

    I don't think anyone was preaching here. I just responded to someone else's mention of the possibility of the thread being locked. It's no secret that the chances of that are pretty good.

    Anyway, I'm bored of this now. ;) Didn't mean to upset anyone.

    If people can stick to simple congrats (as you would if you sent a congrats card to the couple), it'll be ok.
