    Oh, so this is where it's all happening, eh? Why am I wasting my time refreshing the porch? really should have learned by now - this is the good stuff.

    acrossOceans - your poem was literally making my eyes expand sideways out of my head - I'm not sure I've felt like that since my last ever reefer in 1996 (I know, sad isn't it?) You seem to have this way of writing with a lot of SPACE in it - not quite sure how you do that.

    Anyway, seeing as you guys seem to be having all the fun I thought I better say hi - any room for a gatecrasher? How about a poetry and vodka party? many of the main offenders seem to be here. dangdang you could be in charge of the tunes too.... ;)

    Sure Tremors come on in. Don't worry, ain't none of us here will be partaking in that cheap green stuff that makes you feel great, enhances everything, is non-addictive, doesn't give you a hangover, and grows right out of mother earth. Why would anyone want to blow that smoke in your face?

    Anyway, Pearl Jam is playing. But until they get here, I'll be the opening act with this handy dandy harmonica. Hope you like the classics cuz I can belt out a mean Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and it goes like this...

    Yeah that cheap green stuff that people have stopped respecting, pour into their lungs like oxygen, and then are left wondering why the mental hospitals are full of people who have spent half their life smoking a powerful hallucinogen - a potent substance which somehow, unlike any other substance known to man has effects which are solely benign. A wonderful thing with no tangible reputation for paranoia, anxiety, psychosis or 'the fear' - but maybe one other guaranteed effect - abject denial on the part of its celebrants. I've been there - no addictive qualities - other than being unable to sleep without some herbal assistance, unable to deal with any stress or wonder without getting intoxicated. But then what would I know?

    Well that went well - a few hours at the party then forcibly ejected for errant ideas... story of my life I'm afraid.

    I still think some 'party and poetry' event with some of people in this thread and others might be interesting - general idea - get as wasted, intoxicated, high, merry and flirtatious as possible, then pen some lines.... I'm happy to sit in the corner with my cheap lager, and try not to argue (promise)!

    Might be like picking over a train wreck the morning after!! Did you and the Godfather ever get thinking about a joint poem? (not that kind of joint dd!) - Maybe a bit of social lubricant would loosen you two up a bit (though I'm not sure either of you need it!) To be honest I don't dare think what kind of twisted verse would emerge from you guys if you were both wasted....! Might be interesting finding out tho :D
