I think we need to give the guy from What Records a break

    Play.com - millionaires
    PearlJam.com - millionaires
Guy from What Records - a decent INDEPENDENT record trader supplying half the vinyl lovers on this board with rare releases and very high quality service.

I thought we were on the side of little independent record stores over here!

If it's official, I'll definitely buy it (of course!).

Shipping is £40 to NZ. Shipping on the Ten SDE from 10C was $50 which I thought was a ripoff! To their credit, however, it arrived from the States in a couple of days, so that made me feel a bit better about it. I'd expect at least as good shipping for £40, but as it stands I'll wait to see what 10C says. If I don't hear anything from them and it's confirmed official and all, I'll end up going with what records. They are good guy(s?).

I doubt I'll miss out, at least I really hope not!

Only word I got back from 10club was ..

"We have no information at this time."

I got a feeling this is gonna be an official release that we can buy it from 10club.net. It has to be more then 2 records for a live recording. We got 4 vinyl records for Benny & it was a 2hr something show?

It is an Official release pressed for Island Records by Universal Music. It is being manufactured to order. A version will be available through the Pearl Jam web site but it is unclear at the moment whether it will be the same or slighly different.

Thank you for your time, interest and support.

    Cheers

I'm tempted to go ahead and put down the flow for this @ What Records but if 10club is selling the same thing, customs/freight/duty taxes would be cheaper if I bought it from Seattle then UK. Though if amazon.ca is selling it, would be much better for my pocket.

Just hope they don't miss out next year's Record Store Day event. Shocked there wasn't any Pearl Jam goodie this year. :|

    cool
now why cant he just let us all know that-could a US release fall by the wayside as in "big, bold and free" and thats why they are not talking

Im not a fanatical vinyl collector-I only go for 12"-but when was the last official 12" release that was limited to Europe (or another country) and not released in the US in the same (or very similar) format?

This is brilliant marketing on the bands part....... Get the addicts(like myself) foaming at the mouth...... Bam, here it is suckas

how many of you have memorized your CC #'s :)

this is great..... If this is getting to anyone, than your life in general must be great. They are creating a BUZZ by letting What records and others spread the word.

It says it has a CD with ebridge to unlock bonus tracks online... we all know what happened the last time they told us we'd be able to access bonus tracks online ;)

I don't know but something sounds fake to me. Pearl Jam on Universal/Island? Say what? Reprints of posters? Made to order so no refunds? Smells like a bootleg and not an official bootleg.

Uh, this doesn't smell anything like a bootleg. Pearl Jam released Backspacer on Universal everywhere but in the US.

Just about to post the same about Universal. Pearl Jam struck a deal with them to distribute Backspacer outside the US. None of us know what other arrangements the two parties came to. Perhaps Universal have the right to distribute live versions of Backspacer tracks?

Either this is a release that Pearl Jam have nothing to do with, or the 10c are being wilfully obtuse. Either way, I won't be buying it until I see exactly what it is. If that means missing out because I didn't pre-order, so be it. Money saved for the far more interesting Darkness on the Edge of Town boxset.

But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind,
    Chasing something in the night.
