    during viet nam the United States admitted to seeding clouds, causing downpours, specifically along the Ho Chi Min trail, the vietcongs main supply trail.


    during chinas olympics they admitted to using rain prevention techniques during the opening and closing ceremonies.




    seems its has become general knowl3edge that gov't can affect the weather-make it rain, or not. who knows how far they've come in that field. but with floods in pakistan, in a warzone, basically, and horrible weather conditions in moscow........while the US is seeing the perfect summer, it seems the country that may have had the technology and motive and resources to advance in this field may just have done so, making it nice in the US, has been great where i live, and horrible for others.


    benefit being high agricultural production, increased tourism, lots of money to be made from sunshine.

    Los Angeles has been bliss this week! Perfect with a capital PERFECT!!! Warm in the sun, cool in the shade, just like it should be. Summer weather tends to hit in Sept/Oct.

    There were clear skies today, no man made "clouds" of who-knows-what masking everything with a grey fog. The sky was blue (gasp.) I could see the San Gabriel mountains from my flat. The viewing platform at the WeHo Target plaza left me in awe: Central Hollywood in the foreground, Hollywood Hills in the back with Runyon Canyon Park on the left, the Hollywood sign on the right. There may be ten million people living in the area, but mercy it's gorgeous!

    You are obviously joking. Perfect summer? Been floods in Iowa for sure, but since it's white people, no one cares.

    we hit 90* today.... floating time again, nice 8 hour trip on the river through the mountains would be great tomorrow, nice and relaxing. Damn work :x

    So far it has been a typical summer in the Midwest. August has been very hot and humid. I saw a picture of my car from last December covered in snow and ice . . . it is almost hard to fathom that is only a few months away!

    The crops around here look great so far. The old saying to forecast a favorable crop was "knee high by July" but with all the hybrid seeds out there I think it should be revised to "head high by July". It looks like some of the corn stalks are over ten feet tall!
