Question About Camden S/N's

I got both Camden's in the Artillery sale. Is it common that the signature is done in pencil? You can barely see the signature on the black/red Camden, and it is not much better on the grey/orange Camden. Compare this to the Hartford I also got which was signed in a brilliant silver fine-tipped marker, and looks fantastic. Anyone else receive the Camden's and notice this? Don't get me wrong, they are still great looking posters, I'm just curious if this is normal given the signature on the Hartford. Thanks for any/all feedback.

It depends.. some are signed in ink or marker and some in pencil. I have a few signed prints (non concert posters) as well as signed artists proofs and they are all signed in pencil. Both the artist's signature and any other are in pencil so its not uncommon.
This is your notice that there is a problem with your signature. Please remove it.

I find that if the poster has been printed on white stock paper then usually the signature is in pencil, if the poster has been printed on black/coloured paper then the signature is usually done in silver/white etc.

My Ottawa 05 is signed in pencil. You can barely see it as well on the black background. I'm going to have go out on a limb and say that's how Brad rolls.

seems as though brad prefers the pencil lately, even on dark backgrounds. he used it on the kenyon hall ap, and the va bch ap. the hartford, though, is signed in silver...

The guy who is framing my borgata with my tickets said pencil never fades and is the best way to sign. He could be full of shit. I do not know. But he does it for a living.
