UK TOUR 1992

Hi folks,
I am really interested in anyone who my have been to any of the shows on the 1992 UK tour. I missed this tour by 1 year, seeing them in 1993.
I was lucky enough to meet Mike last year in Berlin and talked to him about it and he rembered playing at ULU. Amazing considering the amount of shit that guy has done since!
I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have been to, or may have know anyone who went to the show in Southend on February 3rd. The show at the Borderline is often stated as being their first in the UK but the night before that they played at the Esplanade club in Southend which, if anyone who knows it, is the last place I would expect to see a band like PJ play. No offence Southend
I went to Southend once to find the esplanade club but it no longer seems to exist :(
Anyone who has any info or anything from this tour I would be most happy....
That gig is my Holy Grail... one which will never be fulfilled!

I was at ULU a couple of weeks later, and I seem to recall Clayton Troupe were the support. There was a big jam on I've Got a Feeling at the end. The crowd was a bit hyper, trying to recreate the Alive video, and I recall Ed admonishing certain unruly crowdsurfers for that reason. He did a bit of climbing about and jumping himself, though, but with a bit more panache.
I saw them on June 6th at Finsbury Park. (I saw them there a year later, also.) Ed had come out to introduce L7 earlier in the day because they were really nervous. When PJ came out to play later on, they dedicated Even Flow to L7's drummer, who was expecting a visitor who was late in arriving, if you get me.
It's all so long ago. Wow.

Wow, what a year that must have been. Thanks for this, its great to have contact with someone who was there.... I wonder where everyone else is now. Do you think there was alot of media people there as opposed to fans?
I think it it all took a year to get out of London, if you know what I mean. I just wish I lved in London then I am sure I would have gone... Funny, the Alive vid was my first listen of PJ, on MTV.. I would have probably done the same!
I seem to remember Ed dedicating Even Flow to a women for whom it may have been a certain time in the month, maybe that was it.... so many small memeories from places, vids etc... like you say.. so long ago
Thanks! I have a link from someone now but more the merrier!
I think for me its the fact that its on Southend On Sea.. I find that sooo weird and intriguing. Unless it was really cool back in 1992?!
and thanks to the 25th anniversary magazine the venue put out also found out ed left a message on the wall backstage at the venue for chris cornell who was playing the same place a couple of weeks later warning him not to stage dive because the crowd was mental.
i'll see if i can find the magazine and post an image of the it
