Right......they seem to breed. Yield on the other hand seem to grow wings.

No man should ever have to make that choice! My wife is not a huge Pearl Jam fan, but I talked her in to "Just Breathe" as our wedding song.

Good luck to your friend. He may need it.

How'd that work out for you? That's what my fiancee and I have decided to use for our song.

Did you play any other PJ/EV songs at your wedding? I've got a few ideas.

It worked out very well. It seemed like people liked it. Our wedding was in early March, so I think it was kind of the height of popularity for that song so I'm sure some people aside from the hardcore PJ fans (me, my brothers, and a few of my close friends) recognized it.

The strings really make it a good wedding song. If it was just acoustic guitar I don't think it would work.

good to hear. i am trying to convince my fiance to use this as our song. was it odd dancing to it though? our only issue is that song seems just a tad too fast to be able to slow dance too........congrats on the wedding!

Hope they are married for 70 years, and have lots and lots of babies....

    That said...

I wouldnt have broken the CD...

course he's gonna choose external love for the wife over pearl jam @ the wedding. but hours or day's later he will be back listening & seeing pearl jam live. guaranteed! :)

my thoughts exactly. a lot easier to choose the wife over the cd at the wedding and then on the way back to the hotel crank up some pj. the wife would likely never forget that he chose pj over her at the reception...on a side note why does the dj still have cd's

Ok, I'll start off by telling you all that I was the groom in question.
Now I look at the "event" like this, the MC (now my brother in-law) had to go out and purchase a new copy of Ten so I was really just trying to add to the bands album sales!
And its not like it was the re-issue or the euro import or any other rarity.
Also just for the record I was wearing a PJ shirt under my tux and PJ socks!
And like previously stated "Just Breathe" was our first dance and "Last Kiss" was our last.

And finally to the individual who started this thread, this cuts me much deeper!!! lol

    p.s.
My beautiful new bride is also a big fan!!

I'm sorry but the bride should not have expected that from her groom. I'm glad my fiance has come around to my Pearl Jam addiction. I'm walking down the aisle to Love Reign O'er Me, and our recessional will be a PJ cover of Can't Help Falling in Love. Our first dance won't be Pearl Jam, but the last song of the night will be YL. And at some point we'll play Weird Al's "My baby's in love with Eddie Vedder".

Pearl Jam can be a happy, healthy part of a good relationship. And my future husband has great Pearl Jam karma - we got front row tickets to his first Eddie Vedder concert and his second Pearl Jam concert. And so far I've only made him go to one show per tour, and I've carried out the rest of my obsession solo. It's really no big deal :-)

wow, we are doing the Recessional song with Love Reign o'er Me. I am requiring at least one other tbd song to be played at the reception, but due to the future Mrs being just an average fan, i am quite happy i at least got LROM in......

I didn't think it would get such a rabid response, no harm meant. It's still a great story though! Congrats again, we had a awesome time and thanks for the "seats"!
