Not that it is 'normal' here D, but it is not uncommon...maybe I need to find a 'non-American' guy and see how he treats girls!
I'm a little scared to meet other 10c's...I might go to a pre-party...I know native Seattilites are nice, I'm just wary of all the transplants!
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
Rudest 10C members I ever experienced were at EV solo shows. Random ticket distribution mixes the various classes of PJ fans!
I couldn't tell if were joking, I'm not always good at that. I think you were :? classes??
I met the greatest fans at the EV shows
San Diego, I don't remember names but just fun loving great people, time of my life
The "U-ppers" in Milwaukee, too bad I was so hungover, they were my kind of people and I could hardly enjoy
here in ATL we shared a box with just the nicest couple, I was hurting big time after a bad fall too, blue from the hips down, they were so kind to me.
2nd night fan club tickets, the fellow next to me, he may have been a bigger fan than me! so sweet, such enthusiasm, it was infectious.
Pearl Jam people are simply the greatest!
I was joking about the classes, but not about the rude drunk fans who yelled the entire gig!
oh, was that the infamous Milwaukee show? It was very hard for some PJ fans to control their concert rowdiness especially drunk as skunks. Up on the balcony, rude was the uninterested getting up every few minutes to go to the lobby, extremely distracting, I wished they'd just stayed out there.
When i went to see Eddie solo in Jersey there were some loud drunks in the upperdeck, but Eddie just said "Now Were in Jersey" and ignored them, had a great time and enjoyed the Nuts screaming like little girls.
I get even more disappointed when I meet a person that says "OMG I LOVE PEARL JAM!!!! they sing that betterman song right??" I have met at least five people that claim to be huge Pearl Jam fans and then when I try and talk to them about different tracks. Even Tracks like Given to Fly or Corduroy... you know common tracks and they get totally lost and have no clue what song I'm talking about.
Shows:
San Diego 2003
Grand Rapids 2004
Grand Rapids 2006
Detroit 2006
Columbus 2010

I have been to a couple of shows where I've been certain the people around me could not have been members of ten club, no way.
My fiance' and I flew to LA last year to see PJ and we were in the third row. Someone next to us asked where we were from and after we told them they looked at us like we had dicks coming out of our foreheads...at that moment I was like "you're not in the club are you"?

I was at the L.A. 1 solo show...the drunks next to me were yelling the entire time, and kept commenting on how "tight" the show was. The people behind me almost got into a fight with the people behind them. Fearing a possible scuffle, I shook hands with the people to the left of me so that we had an alliance in case something did go down! Security came over a few times to calm things down, but eventually, I got us moved to much closer seats.
Semes like some people had no idea that an intimate acoustic show requires a bit more listening!
Generally I have met some really nice people through Ten Club seats, waiting in line for tickets and even communicating through here but I have also met a few pretentious snobs who think the number of shows they have been to and their seat location makes them superior to everyone else on the face of the earth. The chick who used to run Five Horizons comes to mind and a few posters here. I guess you encounter people like that through all walks of life though.

a lot of the fans were PJ fans, some can be pretty wild. They didn't get the memo,
Ed grew up and wasn't climbing the rafters at this show
The most upsetting part for me was Ed's disappointment. I know he was unhappy at the Milwaukee show, that hurts. He wanted everybody to get it but some just didn't. I didn't want him to feel let down.

It was actually a fantastic site with setlists and notes from every show dating back to 1990 as well as up to date news. The woman eventually threw in the towel. I remember reading some very unflattering things about her and her attitude.
I completely agree. I'm a 40 something and the last few years, I find about 95% of the fans, especially the young males are rude and look down their noses at us like they discovered the band or something and we don't belong at the concert.
You can spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, oh
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense

I think my next door neighbor's 20-something son is horrified that (me,) the 40-something female neighbor, is constantly blasting PJ.

I always like to remind them that Eddie is way, way closer to my age than theirs.

This is why i joined 10C, went to concert in 08 at MSG, bought tickets off of StubHub, we were in the rafters surrounded by 20 somethings who knew like 4 songs off of Ten, They sucked, ruined the whole experiance.
Joined 10C, surrounded by real fans, MSG 1 & 2 this year, fuckin rocked!!! i'm 35 and everybody around me was older than i was and it was great.

just yesterday, i was doing laundry in my apartment complex and another guy who i have never seen before came in to do his, and he was wearing a vintage PJ concert shirt from the VS tour. i was floored and tried starting a convo up with the guy, but he didn't give a shit and couldn't be bothered.

I met some awesome 20 something young men and lady fans at my last 2 concerts, exceptionally nice kids. I'm an old lady mom to them, well I am to everyone  but I did run into a terribly rude very tall young man in the elevator after the Hartford show. I was without JB, he was pretty cocky, I think I said something about his mother at the end of the conversation that she would not be proud of the ass he was being, maybe something about soap and his mouth too
