Do you get disappointed when you meet another PJ fan and?

...they are rude. It shouldn't surprise me, because obviously they have hundreds of thousands of fans made up of all walks of life. However, I kind of see us as belonging to the same club. I feel the people in general should have more respect for each other, especially those of us who have something like this in common.

**This topic was sparked by something that happened to me concerning another PJ fan and a PJ item and just seeing random "mean" comments on here from time to time. I'm old enough now that it shouldn't surprise me, but I can't help but find it disheartening.

    In imposing your personal expectations of respectfulness on people using online boards, you experience some form of dissonance when said expectations are not met. However, this type of online communication stands apart in that we create nicknames and allow different facets of our personalities to reveal themselves , sometimes by "hiding" behind these pseudonyms .     well, like you said, realistically, they have millions of fans. thousands in this club. we can't all be nice! :)

    Having traveled a lot for PJ and other bands certain areas of the country do influence first impressions. But you know when you take the time to know someone, even moments of small talk, first impressions are just that. I haven't really met any rude fans except at the Borgata 1 concert in the "mosh pit" some people wanted to fight there. That was scary stuff, we bamboozled, then enjoyed.

    well, OK...sometimes. ya...sometimes the girls can be too
    but i've met some pretty aggressive female westcoasters at parties/shows
    i am pretty sure they were transplants tho :D

    Rudest 10C members I ever experienced were at EV solo shows. Random ticket distribution mixes the various classes of PJ fans!

    I met the greatest fans at the EV shows
    San Diego, I don't remember names but just fun loving great people, time of my life

    The "U-ppers" in Milwaukee, too bad I was so hungover, they were my kind of people and I could hardly enjoy

    here in ATL we shared a box with just the nicest couple, I was hurting big time after a bad fall too, blue from the hips down, they were so kind to me.
    2nd night fan club tickets, the fellow next to me, he may have been a bigger fan than me! so sweet, such enthusiasm, it was infectious.

    Pearl Jam people are simply the greatest!
