Man, just saw video of the broadcast. Crazy shit.

that is insane. I just saw it too.

My parents are from NY. my dad used to take us to yankee games every summer. we were at a saturday night yanks/gay sox game. we were sitting in the 2nd level behind home plate. some drunken clown started crawling his way to the railing. once people realized that he was wasted they started chanting 'jump, jump'. I was young enough to know what was going on (probably 10 or 11), and didn't think there was any way this dude had the balls to get on the railing. well, I was wrong. dude, climbed up and swan dove into the net behind home plate. one of craziest things I've ever seen.

gay sox also hit a hr that yanks fans threw back onto field...jesse barfield picked the ball up in rf and threw it over the fasade (sp?). I thought that was coolest thing ever.

for the record there were probably 5 red sox fans there that night. that fan base is such a joke

Nooooowwww I get your sympathy for the Yankees. It all makes sense now. Dude, c'mon, fuck the Yankees as much as the Red Sox. They're both full of the most douched up fan bases on the planet.

And I remember a handful of years ago - or it could've been last year for all the fuck I know - some dude, drunk, at Yankee Stadium falling right over the rail into the net behind home plate. Craziness. You could tell the dude sobered up right quick.

I don't like the yanks. trust me, you will never meet a dude that hates Arod more than me. I just think the red sox fan base is a joke. and the sweet caroline shit is the worst thing I've ever seen. I'm not yanks fan...I do pull for them when they play boston. that's not cause I like the yanks, it's cause I think the red sox and their fans are gay.

the X-files shit at yanks games is up there with sweet caroline. not as bad, but still awful.

    I don't hate AL teams...except for boston

They can equally lick my nut sack. Actually wouldn't mind if a tidal wave of AIDS wiped out both cities.

This is why this franchise sucks. Nothing like refusing to trade shitty players like matt capps or adam dunn (willingham is decent). drew storen is already better than capps.

If Rizzo turns down a dunn for hudson deal he should be fired on the spot

Nationals Reluctant To Trade Dunn, Willingham, Capps

Nationals GM Mike Rizzo is keeping other front office members in the dark about what's happening, reports Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post, but one thing is clear: Rizzo would need to be overwhelmed to trade Adam Dunn, Josh Willingham, or Matt Capps.

Extension talks with Dunn are at an impasse. Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington says Dunn is seeking at least four years and more than $15MM per year. There seems to be an assumption that as a Type A free agent, Dunn's club will offer arbitration and the slugger will reject it. Granted Dunn was coming off a worse season, but it should be noted that the Diamondbacks did not offer him arbitration after '08. The White Sox appear to be Dunn's most aggressive suitor, as they're reportedly willing to include Daniel Hudson or Dayan Viciedo in a deal.

Meanwhile, Willingham and Capps are under team control for 2011. Both figure to receive handsome raises as arbitration-eligible players.

I can't imagine what would happen if they tested for this in the NFL.

Considering this testing is starting immediately, how many players do we think are going to get suspended? You think they knew it was coming?

I know a few guys that recently played in the minors. They all say that steroids are way more prevalent in the minors than they are in the majors. If you think about it that makes sense. If I was a dude on the cusp of making it to the show and I could find an edge you're damn right I'm popping whatever pill or shooting whatever shit is gonna put me over the edge.

so to answer your question...if this testing is legit (which I have my doubts about), there should be a lot of guys busted right away

    Go Braves!!!

I'm still surprised that they've been able to play as well as they have. At the beginning of the year I was expecting a mediocre team.

Hope they can keep it going because that would be a great send-off for ol' Bobby.

Jarrjens has really made the starting pitching strong.

yeah, I was excited for Jair to come off the dl and take Kawakami's spot in the rotation

for as big a contract as he signed, Kawakami sure has been a bust (and pricey long reliever)

The Braves stole Tim Collins from the Blue Jays in that Escobar deal. Watch out for him, because that guy is going to be good.

Two absolutely dominant performances by Cliff Lee and CJ Wilson. And the lead over the dreaded Halo is now 7. And I am now drinking the red Ranger Kool-Aid. I always try to avoid it, but always give in, like some kind of alcoholic.

    The Angles can suck it.

That would be a great World Series. One hapless franchise vs. a formerly hapless franchise. Cliff Lee vs. his old team. Dallas/Ft. Worth vs. Philly.

Great effort by Chone last night.
Sign the big contract and then don't care.

Tough time believing that a package headlined by Joe freaking Saunders is the best package for Haren. I know they like the prospects, but still.
