Wow, some super cool stuff in here. I'll add my favorite old shirt to the list:
"Annoying," wrote Robert Hilburn in the L.A. Times. "Offensive," added Bob Keyes of the Argus-Leader.
"(They) flail about in search of a groove and a song," concluded David Browne in Entertainment Weekly.
Even more damning was Nirvana's Kurt Cobain: "There are a lot of really mainstream bands, who sound just like Poison or resemble Poison very much, and they're being promoted as alternative bands. I find that really offensive. I think one of the biggest examples of that would be Pearl Jam."
And from the offended to the disgusted: "Pearl Jam — a hopeless Seattle Sub Pop wannabe band. Ick," courtesy of Steve Bojanowski, a Triangle staff writer.
The band had barely arrived, and the backlash was in full swing. But Pearl Jam — Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, Eddie Vedder and original drummer Dave Krusen — just laughed and added a quip of their own: "Pearl Jam Press love 'em," then put them all on an official promotional black and white T-shirt.I Saw Pearl Jam!
49 shows and counting....0 -
Promo stuff I have that I can think of right now:
PJ condom, it's a white matchbook with the stickman on it and a condom inside instead of matches.
Yield counter display with giant cardboard yield sign.
No Code mobile
1998 tour promo poster, its a poster with pics of all the concert posters from the US leg of the tour. (easily the coolest item I'm listing)
1st and 2nd leg 2000 touring posters, promo only
Riot Act, No Code, Binaural, and Yield album promo posters and flats
Ten reissue promo poster
Who You Are/Habit single promo poster, subway size
Cultivate the Tour 5" cd jewel case. Tracks: 1. Why Go 2. Deep 3. Alive (live)
Sorry, nothing near as kick ass as the JD bottles or Basketball hoop0 -

Holy mother of GOD.
That is some incredible shit right there.
VERY VERY impressive. I am a TOTAL sucker for No Code and Vitalogy, and NOTHING kicks as much as as the JD bottles.. what is the No Code mobile? Yield Counter display? NO Code stamp AND calculator?
Realistically... what are the chances of getting any of this stuff still?
Anyone willing to trade for vitalogy/no code stuff let me know lol"It's No Crime To Escape"... AGAIN and AGAIN!!

No code mobile is basically a thick paper thing to hang from string - Like a baby mobile... It's circular and a bit like the print on the cd
the yield display is about what they put in stores to promote the cd. It's huge with a massive yield sign attached on a post.
The calculater is a French promo
and the stamp is above and was also part of the vitalogy health club set. That's the easiest to find stillAll My Rivals wrote:Holy mother of GOD.

I've got a mobile that used to hang in record stores for the release of Vitalogy. It's got a picture of Eddie Vedder's dental x-rays as one of the pictures hanging off of it.0

cause it doesn't exist, and non of us have ever seen it's weirdness and to mention it's name could get this wonderful thread shut downI need a coffee!0 -
how the hell do you guys get to know all these stuffs :S, I think it's mostly US promo stuffs?
how do you know if something is original/legit?
do you ask records store for any deal after the promo is over in order to get these stuffs?
I don't see myselft going to a virgin megastore (here in Paris) trying to negotiate with any guy... in a independent store should be easier... but there aren't not that much here-- rafa0 -
We have the Daughter signed card promo Les Paul guitar sunburst issued by Sony when the single was released. Authenticated from around 92-93 with Dave A's sig with the rest of the guys. Also have the the 2009 New Z/Oz tour geer - embroideered surf shorts with backspacer shirt. I mentioned these as I hadn't seen them listed yet. Guitar sounds great for age and has been cared for since that time. Crew outfit came from a wonderful original crew member.======================================================================
