Heh, I was told I messed up Little Ed's spot in the line cos he was looking for me when tickets started getting distributed and I was passed out and nowhere to be found.

For future reference- Hinny passes out. I might need a tracker on me if you're gonna wanna find me, cos no alarm wakes me up when I'm passed out

Hmm. I don't recall buying even a single beer from the 10c bar. Well, I don't recall anything much, really. I climbed over a dinosaur. I climbed up the monkey bars and went down the kiddie slide. When I came out after making a lot of noise turns out there was a girl sleeping in the playground area right next to the slide and glared at me. Come on, it's a playground, people play in it! Walked into the fountain a few times to get wet. Nearly fell asleep during and after the Ben Harper set and had to retire from 2nd row to the seats. Yeah we rocked our section all right, hangover or no hangover!

As for why people get drunk... I've been to my fair share of shows, I can probably stop going, but that'd mean no more having these wonderful roving parties in places I probably won't otherwise visit, with the most brilliant people from all around the world. Since I'm on tour with this lot, I may as well get meself a few tickets to the shows!

i saw these 2 ladies entering before everybody while i was queuing. One was pretentding to be blind.. Apparently they were recognized by some dudes who saw them do that other times... and gettingt in front row again, even catching Ed's pick. no comment

'cause in holland, I saw that one of those ladies hitting her friends hands ("take your hands off my wine") when she got the wine.and hitting back a boy (who is under 20) to get away from her. but the boy was just moving with the pressure of the crowd.
anyway!
Maybe I will tell those stuff to Eddie when they come back!
Hopefully at least 2 years later:)
P.S.1: Ben and his band is great! Watch their Austin City Limits show.

Hi all.
I want to also thank to P.J for that great show in Berlin. During the concert I was also the one of them who was touched, but I also agree with deepgreen about that this bullshit numbering stuffs. I was there at like 10:00 and after 2-3 hours i was aware of this numbering system shit and after entering the waiting area i saw lots of people, who came to the concert place after me, were passing in front of me.Is that your fair?

Peace and keep on rockin' in the free world.

hey hometown buddy, i know what you mean not knowing about the numbers, was news to me last year, only learnt about it after the show when people were talking on the board about no respect for numbers...
this time i got there around 10:00 like you and got number 124, no use anyway, we only sorted out the first 100 or so, at least the really early people and those who'd even stayed overnight got their spots, the rest just sorted themselves out, fine by me, i totally loved the show... peace!

I completely understand your frustration if people who arrived after you got in before you!

If you have another suggestion as to a system which would be fairer I'm sure everyone would be willing to listen and possibly try it out!!

Speaking as someone who slept there over night, was one of the first 15 people there and didn't leave that area for anything other than to go to the bathroom and still only got 2nd row I personally can't think of a better system (as long as people don't abuse it by adding people to the list who aren't there/using it as an excuse to then disappear for hours on end only to come back to the front of the queue).

I think where it falls down is no-one 'official' will condone anything that is fan organised. I think it would get a lot more 'respect' (for want of a better word) if the 10c - within the confirmation email - stated something along the lines of: "a fan worked numbering/queueing system is usually organised locally for GA events, please see fans on the day of attendance. Although we do not accept any responsibility for the organisation/policing of such a system we do understand it to be a fair way to organise entrance into the arena."

That way everyone would know about it and it would have the 'blessing' of the 10c without them actually taking any responsibility.

What the 10c could do however, is what I heard was done in Australia in that the queue was actually walked down to the arena floor in pretty much single file and if anyone ran they were sent to the back. It's much safer that way and keeps everything calm and organised!

hmmmm i am pretty sure, that they did sth. similar when the first few people started to run. i think, when they noticed too many people running, they stopped letting people through, because there was nobody behind me and i couldnt see anybody coming till i was at the rail... you must have been right before or after me, cause we were only 2 numbers apart dont you remember?

I stopped carying about this numbering shit already.....I even got in some small fight last year, as I had no clue what hit me, when I arrived to Wulheide at 10.00, and some people tell me, I am too late to even get a number......what tha f**** number???? I have ticket, like everyone else.....
So now I relax, dont fight, drink beers and wait for the music....

Just wondering, if the band has such big desire to look at the same GESICHTS every freaking concert front row...but other than that, I am happy for the people who make it to front row and kiss Eddies ass;)))
