I love that PJ records Mike and Stone on seperate channels(typically MIke on the left and Stone on the right if your facing your speakers). Especially live. It really gives you the chance to hear both incredible talents distinctly.

It also is a bit risky live. Being a musician that has done some recording, it really puts yourself out there if your the musician. It gives you no place to hide. Very much speaks the talent of both fellas...

    I do too!
Sometimes everyone's different little parts can get lost in the whole, but done this way, you can really hear what each one of our guys contributes.

    And its all great.

I just love the way they do things.

BTW...speaking of Stone...I'd never heard BRAD before and got a little preview of the new song last night...when you compare that to PJ...you can really pick out just how much Stone's sound does contribute to PJ's sound as a whole. I was impressed.
    peace,

  • yeah i love it...it makes you feel like you're right there watching them (whether it's a studio recording or a live recording)

also sometimes you can tell that jeff's bass is balanced center-left...while matt and ed are both dead center...the exact way they are set up on stage...

I have noticed this alot too.

Now that I play guitar myself, its getting alot easier to pick out each part.

And it sucks that I cant play both parts at the same time.
