I was just reading the latest issue of Baseball Digest and this months profile is on White Sox pitcher Gavin Floyd. Listed under three people he'd invite to dinner are Obama, Martin Luther King & Eddie Vedder. So it looks like there's yet another fan of PJ in MLB.

Awesome! Gonna see Gavin pitch this Saturday hopefully. I also hope that my continued streak of attending LOSING White Sox games is OVAH!

Wow. If 4-7 with a 4.43 ERA makes a great pitcher? What about last year with an 11-11 record? Was he Cy Young material then?

Mediocre... at best. 1 good year in the bigs! Sox should just be happy that they unloaded Freddy Garcia for him. Definitely got the better end of the deal!

I think if Michael Vick, Jeffrey Dahmer or GW Bush came out and said they liked Pearl Jam, people here would find them good or cool. Stats mean nothing when it comes to PJ.

Darth Vader, when not crushing the Rebel Alliance, is a Pearl Jam fan too. He posted that Force of Nature is his summer of 2010 anthem on his Facebook profile. Really. He did.

Went 17-8 with a 3.84 ERA in 2008, at the ripe ole age of 25. So he's shown flashes. Not saying Cy Young material, but certainly a solid 3rd or 4th starter, and he's only 27. Plus he likes PJ, hell yea G!

PS. Freddy just picked up his 9th W last night.
He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share, his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere.

Gavin is no Jack McDowell but he has been pitching a LOT better than his stats show.

Good to hear! I'm a White Sox fan as well, nice to know Í'm not the only 'South Sider' here.
Gavin is good, but nothing beats Buehrle!

I witnessed him throw 7 2/3's 1 run ball yesterday. He's coming into his own.

    His new nickname should be:

    Glavine Floyd.

8 runs in his last 9 starts. If it wasn't for the lack of run support, he would have a much better record,
