Best Better Man/SIFL I've seen live was 6/24/06 in Cincinatti.

Just found it on You Tube. Yep, that's a pretty damn good 'un

    Good find.

If you're looking for the best Better Man of all time...it has to be from Seattle 2 in 2000 (the last show of the tour) It has a GREAT improv.

It is not on youtube but I have found the GREATEST by far Better Man and Tag from the 9/12/05 show in London. Turn up the outro and you will never want to hear another Better Man again. Special thanks to Brisk.

Please hear it and you won't be let down (pun intended)

Check out San Diego 2009. There's a good youtube clip of it available. Actually just a fantastic 31 song marathon of a show.
  • State college, best version ever.

Speaking of Betterman I kinda liked it when Eddie did that little 'Intro' thing leading into it...like in 2000 :)

What's the tag on Better Man for the last show of the 2000 tour in Seattle ("I don't want to believe it, I won't believe it" / "it takes all my strength, and I know I gotta go").

That along with Bonaroo 2008 and Jones Beach #3 2000 are the best versions I've heard.

I totally agree with you on Seattle 2000 and Jones Beach. I also love the Philly 2000 Betterman/Save it for Later tag - I believe the date is 9-1-2000? Just incredible and unlike any other I've heard over the years. The band brings it down a bit to a mellow vibe/jam after Ed screams the "Run away, etc." part and grooves on that for a bit before the song just explodes again at the end with a rocking mini-jam to close it out. Great drumming from Matt during that part and the guitar interplay is insane from Stone and Mike.
  • Det '00 is the best version I've ever heard. It had the Romanza bit at the front, it had the longest note hold at the end of "mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn," and it had a save it for later.

Seattle '00 was great too. Philly '09 was right about there, but the sing-a-long was a bit rough. The Sydney one from '06 was great too. But go try to beat the Det '00 version. The Det and Chi shows of '00 had some unbeatable moments to them

San Diego '09 was so good as well!

Eddie was like, I am only going to make you sing it just one more time, just one more time thats it!

    Love that version.

MSG 2 was awesome too though.

Yeah that Sydney 3 one was an absolute ball tearer

Opened the night and set the vibe for an epic concert....after what was the embarrassment of Sydney 2

  • MSG 2 this year was unreal. The crowd sang the first half then a pause of almost a minute that the crowd was so loud I couldn't even talk to my wife! Eddie even teared up it was insane.

9/11/98 NYC and 9/16/98 Mansfield are my favorites. The ones in NYC in 08 and 10 are great as well, but I think the crowd is what makes them so special rather than the song itself.
