    A few hours...

How many code "red's" are going to be called today? We've already had 2 and it's not even 9:30am!

Assuming Code Red means a fire, you'll probably have more as it sounds like your system is having problems. Either that, or the building actually is on fire and you haven't realized it. (Hope it's not the latter.)

Ever been to a Code Blue?

    Yes.
When my first baby was born after a 7 hour induced labour, they realised the baby had been stuck for the last 2 hours. So when they cut my gut open to get him out of there, he was in a STAGE BLUE!

I heard the Doctors call a stage blue on my first born....... :)
Lucky for me the kid is more stubborn than I am. :D

Have you ever been so deep down in the water, that you thought you would run out of breath before you surfaced again? Just wondering  .

Yep. Just 1. I smacked my face into the back of a steal seat.

Have you ever wondered about that person you did not stop and go help?

I don't think I've ever not stopped to help someone (that emergency nursing background is tough to move past). Although once in the last km of a brutal 15K road race in fairly hot weather I ran past an older runner who was down and unresponsive. The only reason I kept going was that there were paramedics with him and more emergency personnel running toward him.

    Ever fainted?

Yes only once and I was driving. Thankfully my cousin was in the passenger seat and was able to grab the wheel.

    Ever have to get stitches?

10 right on the side of my face just a couple of years ago, and before that some in my finger, some on my scalp. I think that's it, though.

    Every been in a cast?

My Uncle threw his line out and it hooked me in the ear and I was thrust into the cold river. Does that count as being casted?

When was the last time you had peanut butter on toast?

LOL, in transit, I'll let you know last week?

So I am planning a romantic getaway weekend with the Mrs.
Is Nantucket a good choice for middle of July?

Yes, but you might not get ferry reservations for a car this late.

    Ever considered Martha's Vineyard?

No, both Nantucket and the Vineyard have their own airports and lots of cabs. If you go with Nantucket, you could consider renting bikes. It's a great island for biking. Also, you might want to make dinner reservations early if you don't want to stand in lines every evening.

Do you like to surprise the Mrs. with these kinds of adventures?

If you want romantic, more intimate and quaint, expensive and lots of New Yorkers: Nantucket.
If you want more options, bigger with funky places alternating with quaint places, less expensive and more New Englanders: The Vineyard.

    What do you think?
