    Grew up in a couple of places ... one 3 hours drive away ... one 8-9 hours drive away.

    At the moment we have Eddie, the caramel one (in my avi), Oliver, the psycho and Tucker the molting cat...
    And not as of yet... Although we won't know with the jeagler until the Phillies get in first place :lol:

    My parents were not big on pets but I would occasionally sneak things in like rabbits, an orphan baby squirrel, guinea pigs, mice... my mother used to be afraid to open the door to my room. Had a dog as a really little kid, but just for a short while. My parents couldn't cope and off he went to live a happy live at my aunt and uncle's. They love all animals and always had strays show up at their door and stay for 15 years.

    Instead I will say I have a Labrador Retriever, a Treeing Walker Coonhound and a mixed breed.

    (And the Lab is the love of my life. :lol: )

    My FIL died before I got to meet him and my husband isn't close with his Mom so i've maybe seen her 8-10 during our whole relationship and it's mostly on holidays.

    Do you and your wife argue on where to spend the holidays...her family, or yours?
