I just thought the lyrics to GTF were perfect for the Big Man. Having "a bad time, nothing could save him." The "faceless men" (doctors and surgeons?) who try to keep him down. Well, guess what, fuckers? He still stands! And this thread is the wave that came crashing like a fist to the jaw to deliver him the wings that will help him fly.

That would have been awesome! Alas no dedication, although a one to everyone named Smith (?
) and one for a couple who had just been married (congratulations!).

Yeah, it was such a shame - he would have gotten a real boost out of it! :(
A mention in Berlin would also make his day - a mention anywhere would make his day and lift his spirits!
That being said I did get some great interaction with the legend that is Mr McCready after he spotted me up in the 10c seats and after the show! Also got to say a brief thank you to Eddie and hand shake afterwards for his tribute to Joe Strummer in Dublin, which he looked pleased about! I'm going to keep this thread alive in the hope the band will possibly pick it up and dedicate a song to the Big Man in Berlin.
