Not only does that not even remotely look like a PJ hat but I have lost any respect for Ben Harper that I had now knowing he is a Lakers fan. I'm not really into the NBA at all but I do hate the Lakers and Kobe the rapist with most of my heart.
I have that hat, they sold out quick in LA, but it is for the 9 times PJ has come to LA to play, it has all the years on the side of the hat, best hat I have for sure, everyone thinks it is for Phil Jackson's ten, which it was, they just made to be 9 to signify the times to LA and I saw Phil in the orchestra seats with the hat on too, I was hoping they did the same for the New York shows in May, but damn they got rid of the sports themed items, which was not cool, but whatever, I love my hat. thanks PJ
Ben has always been a huge Lakers fan...it's like saying "Whoa!! Who knew Jeff Ament liked the Sonics!? I wonder if he is upset they play in Oklahoma City now?"
I mean, Ben is from Claremont, a Los Angeles suburb. You are allowed to root for your hometown team.
On another note, the NBA Finals proved to me that the team I dislike the most in basketball is the Celtics. Those are my two least liked basketball teams, and I ended up pulling for the Lakers the whole time, so it answered that age old question in my mind.
