believe it or not I never really listened to Ten much.....my first PJ album purchase was Vitalogy....bought No Code...Yield was the holy grail to me and I've been a big fan ever since

I liked Yield so much I never went back....although I did buy Ten and Vs I tended to listen to Vs more....probably because MTV burnt me out on Evenflow, Alive, Jeremy, etc.

So I am discovering much of Ten with my recent purchase of the remastered album....my original Ten disc stopped playing (not from overuse)

I felt this necessary to share as I sit here and listen to the album....it's almost like new PJ material to me in a way

I thought this was going to be about why "Go" and porch kick your ass, not "Why Go" and Porch. Either way works for me though.

Why Go and Porch are incredible. Porch is probably my favorite Pearl Jam song and the best live song ever. I always look back at the foundation of Pearl Jam concerts as 10 minute versions of Porch complete with Ed climbing on anything he can get his hands on.

Philly 2's Porch is probably the best version I've heard. It absolutely gets my blood flowing when I'm jogging.

    for shows I've been to...

Hamilton '05 -- Porch to open show, that's how you get a show started.

Always liked the State College "Porch"

I prefer Philly 4's version, for 2 reasons. #1, I love how Ed blows up the beginning and the crowd just keeps it going, and how the band kicks in using the crowd as the lead singer... that is just amazing to me... #2, one of my key criteria for judging Porch is the transition from the jam in the middle to the outro; specifically, how Ed sings it. His scream to transition this one gets my blood pumping! That scream was not in Philly 2.
