I'll be there with my girlfriend..so we're five already I'm guessing they'll play a full set...anyone has an idea how many people are there usually? When looking at the pictures on their website, there seems to be millions of people
site says they'll play at least two hours. Italian crowds are great for singalongs, but nasty when it comes to pushing their way to the front. I nearly died in Milan. I'll be safely tucked back a few hundred yards from the stage. Looks like I will be going solo to this one.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
Where does it say they play 2 hours? Sounds good! Will ask everyone at this festival if they don't have Internet at home...you find NOTHING about this thing on the net...
I'll be there. See you soon! Have survived (but it was close) the last hurricane storm - hoping for a friendlier weather this time around.

I'm going with my girlfriend and 5 friends. I think that Dimitri guy mentioned something about 20-30.000 people? Is that correct Dimitri?
It looks like a big festival. And people saying that italian crowds are "nasty". That makes me a bit nervous, as this is my first show since Roskilde. XCrossing fingersX
Anyway, I hope that play a long show since last time got cancelled!

Well, I don't think Italian crowds are nasty - but energetic and passionate for sure. I prefer that to "opera-static-audience". Not that it has properly started the last time I was there - as the storm wiped everything away before - but there is a smaller closed section (ring) in front of the stage - so the pressure from the crowd is minimized, therefore I think you shouldn't be too worried if you plan to go close to the stage. Either stay back or get into this smaller section. I'm planning to go up front and hopefully make a "pact" with other PJ fans around me, so that I could hold a spot if I have to go pee or something...I've also seen "taking shifts" at holding spots in the early afternoon as successful tactic at festivals (was impressed by Linkin Park fans in the ring section the last time - it was like an organization). I think it would be nice and pleasant if PJ fans could occupy this front part (although I believe that fans of whichever band is playing should be up front)...Or at least i'm hoping that other band's fans will retreat after their band. I really wish to be close to the stage.
Anyway, looking insanely forward to it - and really crossing my fingers that no storm comes along. I'll be probably wearing a pink-violet shirt that lists Pearl Jam names at the back and The Who names in front - so if you see me - I'm open for a chat or whatever to kill some time...

Hey you all.
I'm going to Venice with my girlfriend.
I ordered a ticket a couple of weeks ago, and decided to collect my ticket at the venue.
BUT do any of you know WHERE I should go to get my ticket?
Hope some one can give me an answer soon, cause right now I'm at Roskilde and going to Venice right after.
See you there
Also - When do you guys plan to be at the festival?
I can't wait to be there as Venice will be the last PJ show this year for me. And Skunk Anansie will be there, too...cool

I have no idea on tickets pickup. I may just go for Harper and PJ. I'll be by myself, it'll be HOT and a mosquito playground.
Anyone else staying at the Holiday Inn in Mestre? I think I got screwed over by priceline a little.

Where does it say they play 2 hours? Sounds good! Will ask everyone at this festival if they don't have Internet at home...you find NOTHING about this thing on the net...
The Headliner (that is Aerosmith, Green Day, Black Eyed Peas and Pearl Jam) will play starting from 9.00-9.30 p.m. for at least two hours.
All the concerts will end at about midnight. The only exception will be the Massive Attack whose performance will take place during a LATE NIGHT SHOW starting from 11.30 p.m.
So it looks like we may get a FULL SET for this show...
The band COULD play for 2.5 to 3 HOURS!!!
Anyone know if there will be an internet radio broadcast for this show?
We've found these for Nijmegen, Gdynia & Werchter so far on this tour...Would love to find one for this show as well.

If you need to pick up tickets at the venue, just go to the box office and look for the signs, it should be fairly easy.
Green Day got cancelled last night due to heavy rain so fingers crossed.
I'm going just for Ben Harper and PJ, too, the heat is rather unbearable and there is no shade!!!!
