Hey hey, my my.. it's been a lonnng time since I was on here last. A little hello to old friends and a wave to ne ones.

10 years ago, a lot of people on here were incredibly kind to me as we all tried to deal with our sadness and grief. It was all quite beautiful, realising the warmth of strangers. I don't think I shall ever forget it.

Unfortunately I've had to scale back on shows this year as I recover from an illness, so I can't be in Ireland (booo) or Berlin next week. To be honest, I don't have the guts to go to Berlin and be with everyone. I have no doubt it'll be the best show I chose to miss.. but I think my heart would explode out of my eyes for the entire show. I'm too much of a girl!

I shall be seeing them in London this Friday though. Dates are not important to me.. it'll be special.

Hey Laura,

Not felt ready to seek you out until now, but seemed like the right time. Hope you are shaping up alright and that you are managing both illness and memories. You are in my heart and in my thoughts a lot these days, and I kinda blame you for getting me back on the forum whenever it was - 12 months ago or something - feels like forever and ever (you should never have mentioned my name!). There are cruel circumstances in life and there are light-tinged circumstances, and somehow meeting you by chance at London 2000 is one of my light-filled moments - despite what was to follow, which was hard for everyone here, but immensely hardest for you and your family, and no doubt remains so. I hope you and your folks are doing ok currently. You are a fighter, and a great looking one at that! so I'm sure whatever challenges you are facing now, you will pull through.

I've never told you this, but after I saw you in the London queue ('blue-rain- a real tall girl with a blue bag'? - gotta be you right!!); when you disappeared off to the front row, I can remember catching your eye from a distance, me with my 'date' and you with your crew. and being envious at how much more of a proper pearl jam fan you seemed to look than I did! - you looked like you knew what you were doing!! Funny thing is, I strongly remember getting this jolt of a connection to a feisty spirit across the arena- which is why I think when I heard from hund and others what happened to you at Roskilde I was so shocked.

Anyway, time passes..... I'm older and probably wiser than when we last met (some would say better looking, although I know you might find that hard to believe)

! Anyway, there's something about symmetry in here somewhere and I hope you don't think I'm trivialising those times.... I have my own demons to exorcise here as well you know!!

Also I have never thanked you properly for your b-sides cd which filled in all my gaps whenever it was, 8 yrs ago or something - a kind of far superior version of Lost Dogs!!
