quick question related to the thread. I downloaded the show way back via PearlJambootlegs. org
Am I missing out on a higher quality recording? Meaning, is the cd version that people have a lot better quality than the one available to download on the site? I am assuming it is - cd quality v. mp3, right?

Not sure. The mp3 might be ripped directly from the CD. I think the CD is always a better quality than an mp3 but since the CD goes for $40-50, I'll take the free download personally. I downloaded the show off this site and it sounds great.
i bought a CD of this years ago on ebay . and at the end it has some songs from the Wisconsin show .
1. Oceans
2.SOLNT
3.Forever in blue jeans
4.act of love
5. why go
6. jeremy
7. star boy
8. maggot brain - friend chad on the drums
9. i only play for money .
its 3 disc .!!!
If u think that Bootlegs sounds great u should have been at this show . it was amazing . with what they had to work with song wise . Philly don't hold a candle .

yeah, I actually agree with you- it does sound great! And what a freakin' amazing show
there are several recordings out there, most of them incomplete
from what I can recall most of the download sites are ripped from the cd's(more than one to get the complete show) which was a FM soundboard recording so it is great sound. Bass is a little low though.
the triple disc set referred to earlier is missing animal, the Q101 local radio boot is partial. The is one version that has the whole show, but I never bought it.
there are free downloads of it all over, just do a little detective work
amazing show, Soldier field packed to the brim, great set list, Otis Rush, bad Religion, CHICAGO
this was one of their longest shows ever at the time and it's legend grew from there. It was one of the 1st A quality bootlegs out there as well on CD.
That's pretty sweet. My set came with a seperate cassette with animal on it, which sadly was lost masy years ago. Was my first show and has yet to be topped!!!

can't ask for anything more
if you want the best sounding source, this is what you should be looking for:
07.11.95 Soldier Field; Chicago, IL 160 10.0 [MWFM>D7>CD]+[CSB>D7]>CD
it is a mix of the FM broadcast and an audience tape. I'm sure it is available online somewhere.
the manufactured bootlegs were FM only and many of them were missing Animal.
EDIT: just googled it. here you go:
