What's the best 2000-2010 version of immortality?

Must have the correct lyrics....

Mike nails both solos....

And the end jam is off the hook

I love seattle 2, 2000.

  • might not be the best, but the benaroya version might be my favorite
  • First off, it's my favorite song aside from Black.

Nagoya, Japan 2003 is an amazing version. It has a improv pre song, and an extended jam that lasts close to 8 minutes I believe. I haven't listened to it in a while but I believe that's accurate. I also love the intro that Ed has been adding to the beginning of Immortality going all the way back to Berlin '96. This is the same intro from the Immagine In Cornice dvd, which again is an amazing version, but not the entire song. If it was I would say that it would probably be my fav just because it was Ed solo and the scenery of the video is really quite amazing. I'll try and come up with some more all time great Immortality's. Later

This is a good one as well! Pretty much all Immortality's from 2006 are great cuz they have the little intro before the song starts like Verona soundcheck. Adelaide too! And why is it do they seems to play Immortality in Cleveland just about everytime. Must be some kind of link. Later

Would have been better had Mike actually played a decent solo.

The hold the one note things is getting pretty old IMO.

i agree with this too...would rather him tear it up vs holding a long note
  • I gotta go with Nagoya as well. The ending just takes it to a whole new level.

And unlike most responses, I certainly wasn't there which seems to be the only criteria some people use to say it's the "best"
