I gotta go with Nagoya as well. The ending just takes it to a whole new level.

And unlike most responses, I certainly wasn't there which seems to be the only criteria some people use to say it's the "best"

Anyone know where one can listen to the Nagoya version?

Please post what you guys think. I have heard every version from 2000 on and stand by my claim, but I always like to hear other opinions on that particular version.

I haven't heard every version but Nagoya is one of the best if not the best version I have heard. I used to put it on repeat when I had the CD. I think the solo, outro, and vocals sound amazing, which combined with the great quality of the bootleg really makes it an enjoyable experience. Nagoya is an underrated boot..I may have to listen to it tonight :)

just saw Hartford '08 for the first time: Holy Shit
  • First off, it's my favorite song aside from Black.

Nagoya, Japan 2003 is an amazing version. It has a improv pre song, and an extended jam that lasts close to 8 minutes I believe. I haven't listened to it in a while but I believe that's accurate. I also love the intro that Ed has been adding to the beginning of Immortality going all the way back to Berlin '96. This is the same intro from the Immagine In Cornice dvd, which again is an amazing version, but not the entire song. If it was I would say that it would probably be my fav just because it was Ed solo and the scenery of the video is really quite amazing. I'll try and come up with some more all time great Immortality's. Later
This is my fav as well.
