Mike McWhirter RIP - 10 Clubber passes away

My friend Mike McWhirter died last month in a tragic accident in Ontario. I met Mike through the Drive-By Truckers fan community. It didn't take long to discover he was a fellow jammer as well. Most recently he attended last year's Toronto and Seattle shows. He was a wonderful person that it was my privilege to know for a relatively short time.     Wow, First heard about this on the Drive By Truckers forum. Was sad to lose a fellow DBT fan. Now finding out a fellow 31 year old PJ fan as well.

    Always sad to hear something like this. I’ve met so many wonderful people through this band, they have literally extended my social circle world wide. I know the feeling of losing one too, and it’s difficult. My condolences, may your friend rest in peace and my best to his family.

    Very sad to hear this. It makes you realize not to take time for granted and to utilize the time we have with our family and friends; Each time we get to do so could very well be the last.......
