If this was a Muslim cleric people on here would be having a fit.

For some strange reason, crying for blood over political cartoons disturbs me. Must be "latent racism", right?

do you understand that though depicting any image of mohammed isnt forbidden in the quran doing so is extremely offensive to millions of them especially when it is done by non muslims and in a derogatory manner as it usually is??

but no youre not a racist cause islam isnt a race.

I do understand that, and I would exercise a personal choice not to deliberately disrespect people's faith. If you are suggesting that other people depicting a religious figure justifies cries for blood, then we must respectfully disagree. There are all kinds of religious taboos in all faiths, and violating them does not typically get used as an excuse for violence, at least not in this day and age.

im not justifying it. i would never justify anything religious. im just explaining why they feel the way they do no matter how abhorrent it is to others. and its not ALL muslims... but like everything its the ones making the most noise that are heard.

And yet I dnt see you condeming the rabbid rabbi's remarks.....but Muslims crying out for blood you jump in on.
Dude, do you hate Muslims? Seriouslly, I'm just wondering. I mean it's ok to have hate, I'd respect you a lot more if you'd just come out and say it. Look, I even made a comment towards you without name calling... I'm getting better reborn.....

No, I don't hate Muslims as an entire group. I find the subset who advocate violence against non-believers to be loathsome, though. The ones who throw acid on schoolgirls, the ones who set up shop in North America and Europe to preach hate and extremism. People continue to debate just how extensive this faction is, and truth be told, I have no idea. I want to believe that its tiny. The Muslims I know personally are peaceful people, to all outside observers, and I have no problems with them. Again, I didn't bring up Muslims in this thread. And yes, thanks for the lack of name-calling. Saying things like "its OK to hate" still has a bit of a tone to it, though. Is that your belief, or are you just trying to find more subtle ways of starting a flamewar?

Flamewar? No, but as for hate, everybody has hate in them. From Jesus down to the homeless man on sunset blvd. Every aspect of religion, advocates violence. Not every religion is all good, and not all people are all good. To summerize, the whole world is full of hate and every religion advocates violence. No one is above anyone....come on reborn, flamewar? Really? And here I thought I was trying to be civil. I didn't even put an eye roll for you.....

it's not just this rabbi, look up Rabbi Yitzhak Shapiro, the head of a Jewish religious school in the illegal settlement of Yitzhar, he wrote a book a few years ago saying it's ok to kill gentiles for pretty much any reason, he even claims it's ok to kill babies if you think they will grow up to do you harm, the livestock of enemies, even 'hostile blasphemy' (whatever the fuck that means).
    don't compete; coexist

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank." - Barack Obama

when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'
i was thinkin 'death before dishonor'

Well, if you're serious about avoiding that sort of thing, I am more than happy to reciprocate. I actually agree with the gist of a lot of your points. You're one of the people who can at least recognize that no one religious or ethnic group has a monopoly on jagoffs, and I respect your ability to see that.

If you look up the definition, it means a repugnent person. However, I found a piece this morning that more specifically defines the term as "irritating but ultimately benign", which means that my earlier usage could be incorrect. A rabbi preaching violence is not benign.

Does it have any relation to a jerk-off?
