I don't think they've sold VHS movies, in what, at least 10 years? Do they still sell blank tapes? I know my Mom likes to record shows with an old VCR.

i haven't had a vcr since my tv vcr combo went flying across my semi truck when i slammed the brakes on due to some dumb asshole who can't drive. the tv/vcr combo broke. i thought to myself well let's try this fucker out anyway. it ate all 3 of my star wars box set tapes.
1. star wars... tape eaten.
2. return of the jedi... tape eaten.
3. whatever the 3rd star wars flick is... tape eaten.

moral of the story... even star wars vcr tapes can be eaten by piece of crap vcr players.
oh,,, and some people drive like shit... becareful out there.

VCR - An exercise video, obviously one I haven't used for a while as it's not connected to a TV
DVD - A cd, PJ probably

i still own a VCR.
i also own a blu-ray player, so it's not like i am lost in the 80s.
it's just, why throw it away? it still works, and we do still own a few videos that we've not transferred to DVD.
granted, we've not used it in forever...but whatever.....

and there's nothing in my DVD or VCR players. i don't leave discs in em.

we do too, usually.....but after awhile, netflix slows down new releases on ya some. or thus is our experience. we've had whip it on our queue looooonnnnngggggg before the flick ever came out, and even now - months later, still "long wait." :evil: wtf?! do they only have one copy? :? bizarre......

Maybe you don't deserve it, have you thought about that?

I've been waiting for Whip It FOREVER too! I am about ready to just go the Red Box and get it

Earlier this year I read about a deal Netflix made with some of the studios where they have to wait so many days before renting out new releases because the studios felt they were losing money on sales so if people have to wait longer for the rental maybe they will just buy it instead. Something like that. Kind of explains the excessive wait on some stuff.

we get many new releases *immediately*, day of release, thru netflix...but others, such as above....wait forrrrreeeeeeevvvvvvvvvveeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. i had also read about netflix holding back rentals on those who rent a lot, return quickly, etc...figuring they rather lure their newer customers with the new release before old. i get it, but not. how about reward all? we rent a LOT...go thru a lot. tho nowadays, we mostly only keep new releases on our queue, and we have a TON of flicks on our 'saved' queue, awaiting their DVD release. we actually left netflix for a year or so, tried blockbuster online, b/c of the whole waiting thing. blockbuster was ok, but they did not have a mot of flicks i wanted to see, even online, too 'family-friendly' in their selection, left out more controversial titles i guess, which i still to do this don't understand. obviously, we returned to netflix, and overall, happy with their service, but sometimes..... :evil:


and claire - i know viggo ain't lookin' hot in that flick, but it doesn't matter. it's still viggo.
