Brian Setzer / The Stray Cats

Any fans of this man's music here? I first heard The Stray Cats probably 30 years ago now and he is still one of the most outstanding guitar players around. Great guy too, met him in Manchester a few years back and he was very humble about his success and said he has to constantly pinch himself to make sure his life is real.
Like a book among the many on a shelf...

    I was too young to have an established music genre locked into my musical tastes when stray cat strut came out, but they were very good in the early 80's! I saw a christmas show on tv with the Brian setzer orchestra during the last holiday season and he still rocks! Very talented and original for sure!

    My brothers a huge fan of his solo work. Went to see him in Atlantic City about 6 months ago with my bro. Had great seats and Brian and his band put on a hell of a show.

    Never saw The Stray Cats but his own show was amazing and he did a few 'Cats tunes of course including a mental Rock This Town where he did duelling solos with an entire brass section for about 10 minutes. You can't not like a good old fashioned rock 'n roll musician. :D And he played a couple of moments like this one to calm it all down at times! :)

    i have the stray cats first album on vinyl. my dad loved them because of the 50's sound they had...i loved them because when i was younger my dad hammered 50's music into me, so i'm pretty much a fan of that era of music. and since i dug the stray cats, i most certainly am a fan of setzer solo. love his music, makes me feel happy.
