88 seats in the first 2 rows of MSG
Options
Unless this seating chart is wrong, which I don't think it is,
88 of the non top seniority 10c members will be in the first 2 rows. 88 10c members and PJ fans who will probably never get this opportunity again. This is one of the things that 10c has done this tour that is good for most and probably not so good for a handful. But as Ed said in
Albany last time around, and I quote
"Who are you? Some of the people up front, we see the same fucking people everywhere we go"
Well not this time Ed ! Thanks 10c !!!

88 seats? or 88 pairs?
If it's 88 seats, that means 44 10c members. with 44 of their friends.

EXACTLY. so 44 of those people will be bored little girlfriends who will complain the whole time.

you do realize that the top seniority 10 club members will be part of that random selection, don't you?
they still have the opportunity to be in the front row, as they shouldDon't come closer or I'll have to go0 -
so by your math there will be 88 lucky 10c members that get seats in row 1,2,9, or 10. And they get to bring along 88 of their lucky friends.Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?0

Any way you do the math, its a decent change. It doesnt exclude the lifers, which it shouldnt, and it gives a small gimmer of hope for the rest. I've only tried for 10c tickets five times and have been unlucky on all occasions, so it wont help my un-lucky ass anyway."...would you like some forks?" EV 12-02-060

Jesus H. Christ, I forgot where I was posting this, the land of exact technical detail.
There are 44 seats in row 1 & 44 seats in row 2. That means 88 tickets total. That is why I said, 10c members and PJ fans, figuring not all 88 seats will be taken by 10c members.
How's that?~!~ Peace ~!~ Love ~!~ Pearl Jam ~!~0 -
Hmm, something like that."...would you like some forks?" EV 12-02-060

So, if you're a tenclub member, you will be at least in Section 1, 2, 3 or 4 according to that seating chart?
If so, it sounds good to me! I am new member (November 07) so I won't be getting the best seats.0 -
BeerBaron wrote:44 seats to a row is fairly standard for arenas, sometimes 42. So that sounds about right.
So if an arena has a capacity of say 18,000 for a concert. 10C gets say 10% of the venue, therefore, 1,800 seats or 900 pairs.
That would leave each of us with a 1.2% chance of row 1 and 1.2% chance or row 2. Or a 2.4% chance of either row 1 or 2.
Then, rows 3 through 8 would be filled with the lowest 10C members, which is a total of 6 rows x 44 seats = 264 seats/2 = 132 10C members.
Take those 132 10Cers and add them to the 44 that will be sitting in rows 1 and 2 and you have 176 ticket pairs of the 900 sitting in rows 1-8. That leaves 724 pairs of tickets going for the row 9 and 10 lottery.
Each of those people would therefore have about a 6% chance of either row 9 or 10 (or a 3% chance for each row).
So 10Cers with very high numbers would have a combined 8.4% chance of either getting row 1,2,9 or 10.
I must have messed up those numbers somehow, but that's the way I see it.

Does anyone know if everyone is included in the lottery for rows 9 and 10, or just those who would be placed behind row 8? Is seems like a lot of work for the TC to first make everyone in the lottery for rows 1 and 2, then place rows 3-8 by senority, then place everyone else in the lottery for rows 9 and 10.
Does anyone know for sure?0 -
are we sure that the Ten Club only gets 10% off the venue?i like sound...0

i never give my girlfriend my extra 10 club ticket. as much as i love her, a pearl jam show is the last place i want to take her. she's not a fan of the band at all, i'd rather bring a fan who never joined 10c.I like bands.0 -

well i'm impressed.
i couldn't be bothered to get that involved, i am simply happy at a SHOT at rows 1-2, 9-10 for an assigned seating show. good enough for me, even if a VERY slim chance! i just LOVE the IDEA...that *anyone* in the 10c could have the possibility of being in the first 2 rows. beautiful! sharing the love indeed!Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -
what if a really low 10c #, who otherwise would have the first 5 rows, gets picked in the 'lottery' and ends up in row 10? that would be something.my signature.0

If a 10c member was 'suppose" to be in row 1, I think that the worse they can do now would be row 3. I doubt very much they would throw them in the back of the venue.
BTW... For those who do get the first 2 rows, expect to get smacked in the back of the head a few times by the seats rightful owners.~!~ Peace ~!~ Love ~!~ Pearl Jam ~!~0 -
