88 seats in the first 2 rows of MSG

Unless this seating chart is wrong, which I don't think it is,
88 of the non top seniority 10c members will be in the first 2 rows. 88 10c members and PJ fans who will probably never get this opportunity again. This is one of the things that 10c has done this tour that is good for most and probably not so good for a handful. But as Ed said in
Albany last time around, and I quote

"Who are you? Some of the people up front, we see the same fucking people everywhere we go"

Any way you do the math, its a decent change. It doesnt exclude the lifers, which it shouldnt, and it gives a small gimmer of hope for the rest. I've only tried for 10c tickets five times and have been unlucky on all occasions, so it wont help my un-lucky ass anyway.

There are 44 seats in row 1 & 44 seats in row 2. That means 88 tickets total. That is why I said, 10c members and PJ fans, figuring not all 88 seats will be taken by 10c members.

If so, it sounds good to me! I am new member (November 07) so I won't be getting the best seats.

Does anyone know if everyone is included in the lottery for rows 9 and 10, or just those who would be placed behind row 8? Is seems like a lot of work for the TC to first make everyone in the lottery for rows 1 and 2, then place rows 3-8 by senority, then place everyone else in the lottery for rows 9 and 10.

Does anyone know for sure?

i never give my girlfriend my extra 10 club ticket. as much as i love her, a pearl jam show is the last place i want to take her. she's not a fan of the band at all, i'd rather bring a fan who never joined 10c.

well i'm impressed.
i couldn't be bothered to get that involved, i am simply happy at a SHOT at rows 1-2, 9-10 for an assigned seating show. good enough for me, even if a VERY slim chance! i just LOVE the IDEA...that *anyone* in the 10c could have the possibility of being in the first 2 rows. beautiful! sharing the love indeed!

what if a really low 10c #, who otherwise would have the first 5 rows, gets picked in the 'lottery' and ends up in row 10? that would be something.

If a 10c member was 'suppose" to be in row 1, I think that the worse they can do now would be row 3. I doubt very much they would throw them in the back of the venue.



BTW... For those who do get the first 2 rows, expect to get smacked in the back of the head a few times by the seats rightful owners.

They will probably lottery rows 1-2, then seat rows 3-8 by seniority, then lottery rows 9-10 for everyone who is left, then assign the remaining seats.

I think that was the joke ... the people who "normally" sit in those seats are the jaded, been-there-done-that arm-crossers who are only there to hear "Bee Girl" or some such.

ok here is a question - say your member number is usually in the first 5 or 6 rows and you get randomly picked for rows 9 and 10 - didn't you really lose your seniority there? not sure if its possible and doesn't affect me but was just wondering.
