all I know about the word mammasan is how it relates as a Vietnam term. my dad was in Vietnam and told me once that the "mammasan" whom "cleaned their tent" blew herself up in it. :shock: so that's my recollection of the word as disturbing as it is. so obviously, I know a mammasan was a maid/whore, but not by choice?
but how does that relate to the trio then?

:shock: wow. I definitely see the importance of the order now. My friend, Beth, must have known about it because I do remember her telling me about Alive with incest involved, but then after seeing it explained on Storytellers in 2006?, there was nothing said about that. so if that is true--wow, Ed :( --sorry you had to go through that. if its elaborated for the sake of a "mini-opera", then thanks for the inside info, vedder soup.
as far as the title--mamason--well, I see where the killing whores part factors in with Once (as a mini-opera)--along with Dirty Frank and Satan's Bed for that matter--okay maybe I'm being to analytical here. I never would have seen Footsteps in that way though. and I see how mamason could really mean mama and son. damn!
