  • I'm posting this link to another thread in Given To Fly in case those who were at the Buffalo show missed the story behind the shoe being passed up on stage!

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=131374 - Read the original post and then skip to page 3 if you want to get to the shoe part!

    So awesome!

oh yeah, that was awesome, was 2nd row so I could totally see the look on Ed's face, he was astonished and then he turned to Matt and said that, it was a great PJ moment, and I was reminded of that when Buffalo crowd was going nuts, it also happened in Toronto in 2003 and 2005 I believe

i think our memory has gotten foggy

upon further review.... buffalo doesn't even come close...

LOVED IT!! LOVED IT!!!!! L-O-V-E-D I-T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Opening with Unthought Known - my fav!! Animal, Once, Fatal, Light Years... every single moment was ~GEMS & RHINESONES~ to me!!!!! Came down from Toronto and it was SO worth the ride! Section 105 row 14 and I was VURRY happy with that :D

I just hate it when it's over, waiting on baited breath for the boot now.. I hope they tour well into their senior years!!!! They're better now than ever!!!!

Thanks Buffalo for being a fantastic host - the participation level was running on MAXIMUM ENERGY and to me, that's half the show right there!!!

Now, a show in Toronto sometime soon would be okay by me... just in case anyone was wondering! ;)

    so

    4 places??

    ..isn't that obvious? 1. Eddie 2. Eddie 3. Eddie 4. Eddie ;)

it was obvious... but ed wasn't involved ;) hahaha

I was at the Cleveland and Buffalo shows, and in my opinion, the Buffalo show blew the Cleveland show away from an energy standpoint. The Band brings it every night but both the crowd and the band seemed to have it turned up a notch for the second night of the back to back.

The rest of my photos from the two nights are up here

Thanks to everyone who was there for rocking out so hard.

So was I. Last minute Cleveland tix, but still great seats-106 main level row 3. Buffalo ten club seats- row 24 seats 4 and 5, with binoculars. I agree with you. Good rockin out indeed. This is why: Buffalo has a rowdy bunch of people. Try finishing a degree here. I think they like playing Buffalo thanks to all of us Buffalonians, Canadians Clevelanders, let's not forget Rochesterians! and Philly fans too. Buffalo was perfect- not too many stupid jerks and enough serious lovers of the MUSIC. Pearl Jam fans unite. But, I think the people behind the stage could have been a little more enthusiastic and the people on the mountain top could have actually stood up. 300 levelers! To those of you who did, this is not for you. And nice pics.

Once again, Thank you 10C for the 7th row floor seats, McCready side--AMAZING! Great show--that place was rocking...literally! And to the "statue of liberty" standing next to me...and this is my only gripe of the show--and you know this individual had to be in the 10c to even get killa seats--but, wow, I am/was just amazed that this girl next to me didn't--and I mean did not move, jump, dance, sing, scream, applaud, or nothing--just stood there--no emotion. emotionless...the entire show--I was saying to myself two things--how can "this" show, "this" band not move your ass?!--and my second thing I'd like to say--next time you should just bypass getting tix let someone who will clearly have a good time take your wasted space.
next stop for me... BOSTON BABY!

If I remember correctly, they took the stage at about 8:50 and were done around 11:10.

    Buffalo!

Drove down from Toronto and what an amazing evening. This show was on par with Toronto shows in terms of loudnes and energy. Crown was way into it, band was way into it.

    Highlights:
    - bro-mance in section 116. they were right in front of us and just awesome.
    - green shirt guy
    - kid getting the tamborine
    - young(er) fans in attendance. good to see the next generation being groomed!
    - Not for You, Unthought Known. I don't get too worked up about the setlists. Every show is its own journey, they will never be the same - and that's a good thing.

Thank you to Buffalo, Ten Club and Pearl Jam for being fantastic hosts.

The only buzz-kill was the hour it took us to get from the arena to the highway after the show and then another hour wait at the border. I guess there were a ton of us Canucks at the show. When we finally reached the customs officer she took our passports and asked, "Were you at the concert? O-kay, go ahead."

Got my fix for the next little while but already waiting for the next tour...

I was the tall (6'3") blonde dude with the Green Disease shirt on and my buddy Tom was short with a Peter Tosh shirt on, 116, row 6 in the middle of the row. We coulda been the ones bromancing because it was my first show (waited 7 years to see em) and it was his first show but he's also getting married Saturday. Needless to say he was a Pearl Jam fan before but he only knows their hits (Evenflow, anything off Ten and Vs, Betterman etc) but after this all he's been talking about is next time they tour we're following the band a little bit. He's a fan for life now.

Still reminiscing about the show (a lot) and damn I wish I coulda went to Bristow. If they would have switched the Bristow and Buffalo sets I would have shit myself for All Those Yesterdays and Present Tense. Buffalo kinda bummed me out because there wasn't a single No Code song played b ut the crowd energy was fucking sick and the energy of the show was mint.
