Just got home in Buffalo.
its been a long 2 years for me and this show was hot.
biggest highlight was Unthought Known. this song translates so well live and there was a lot of emotion.
The Fixer is a lot of fun as well.
It seemed like a lot of Backspacer/Avacado this show
I can't wait til they let it all out @ HSBCLife has nothing to do with killing time.
So why be satisfied?0 -
THat setlist is one of the best I have ever seen. Very Jealous, hope Dublin & Hyde Park are 3/4 as good and I will be happy. Now it all comes down to numbers, now I'm glad that I have quit
Folks these days just don't do nothing simple for the love of it0 -
Best setlist & poster so far. Definataly a new style for pj!I will swallow poison0

Just got back to Chicago from the show. Epic setlist..just incredible. Show #37 for me and first time hearing Wash, Leash, and even Johnny Guitar. As it was a last minute trip, I didn't have my fan club seats. Sat in section 127. Never realized the non Ten Club portions of the crowd sucked ass. Seriously--atleast half the people in my section sat for the majority, if not all(past Wash) of the show. Unlike the TC seats, Evenflow was the big hit that got everyone off their asses--which is why I assume they still play it nightly. Just a terrible effort from the non TC crowd. Many kudos to the band for bringing such a great performance though!
Also curious how many others noticed the large portions of the upper level that were curtained off? As a nearly lifelong midwesterner, it's getting hard to complain that they never play here(outside of Chicago) when the shows aren't nearly selling out. I saw about half the back of the upper level in St Louis was empty, but it wasn't nearly as bad as tonight. If you want them to play more places than Philly, NYC, and Boston--show up for the shows!
My 3 shows of the tour are over, so again--many thanks to the TC for my prior show tickets. Enjoy the rest of the shows everyone! If tonight is any indication, they are only getting better and better. Peace!0 -

I went to Columbus, Nobelsville, and Cleveland. Cleveland was my least favorite by far, lots of good songs, but too many repeats from the previous 2 shows.
It was nice to see Stone show up for the show finally and not stand facing Mike for most of the show.
Smile, Immortality, Wash were great. Would have loved to have heard Animal or Undone as I think it was being soundchecked when I got my tickets1998: Cleveland

Only my third PJ show, but what a setlist last night! Some real treats in there, and the 1st encore set was amazing. I loved the Real Me and Indifferenc to end the show, really unique. I'm super tired this morning, yet totally still pumped from the show.

i too was at all three of these shows, and couldn't agree more. while the set last night, all by itself, was good, I don't know why there were so many repeats like Why Go, Go, Given To Fly, Evolution, and even Hail Hail were repeated at least two of the three shows. I was hoping they'd mix up the songs more. Even though there were some unique aspects to each, some of these songs took the place of what I'd hoped for like Satan's Bed, Animal, etc.
Oh well, three great shows. And I did love Wash and Indifference as the bookends last night.0 -

Agreed. I've never had a bad time at a PJ show. Just was hoping for more, but it'd be tough to beat Nobelsville.1998: Cleveland

I am Cleveland born and raised, and still live here. Not only are we lame, but the city was filthy, looked like crap, and smelled like a toilet. Is it just me, or were there a bunch of old farts at this concert? I think the fans in our section (110) rocked out for the most part, but there were a LOT of sitters. Nothing at all like Columbus, we have a lot to learn from our capital city.
Loved the setlist. I've heard most of it live before, but the guys are so freaking good this tour it's almost like hearing all new songs! Wash & Leash sounded awesome, loved that they did In Hiding and Army Reserve. Bringing the "Smile" fan up close was sweet.
And I'm not sure I can express how happy I was that they closed w/Indifference. I always have my fingers crossed that *this* will be the night they do something besides YLB, but I didn't expect Indifference.
The beautiful poster was the icing on the cake. My best Mother's Day so far.....Where she walks no flowers bloom...0 -
smile!?? jerks!
best setlist so far!0 -
Detroiter here, back from Cleveland..My only show of the tour, 6th overall. Best one i've seen, really by a long shot. There is just no way a band that has been around 20 yrs has any right to be rocking so hard.....I thought the crowd was really good, tho surely not tops.
Setlist had great flow. Highlights for me were In Hiding (great singing), Go (mid set!! and rockin!!) and Indifference to close. WAY WAY more special then YL or Baba...Plus, The Real Me!! The one song i honestly hadn't even considered them playing, and yep i think my jaw literally dropped...Also, fairly early in the set, they touched on the early 90's Cleveland shows, and Ed's quote was something like "i think if you put this band now up against that band then, we would kick their ass!" Jeff pointed out Matt as reason #1....
The intensity from the band was full-on, tho it was a fairly up/positive vibe show, right from the opener with Wash. Ed's voice was the best i've heard from him....Didn't seem to be Mike's best night overall, but he had some great moments in Immortality, and i think it was WHy Go, behind the head solo...
This could be another 5000 words, so i'll just keep it short and sweet by saying:PJ, you blew my mind (again), brought a smile to my face a few hundred times, left me without a shred of a voice, and won my respect (again) for giving so much, after all this time. Blown away.
cheers0 -
Holy shitballs! Almost 20 yrs of shows and the setlist was incredible. We were in the center floor section and everyone around us was rockin their faces off and singing along. Mike melted my face again, AGAIN. One of my top ten shows since 91. Thanks guys. Indy was good but a heavy vibe hung from all the confusion. See ya at the Garden.======================================================================

Another memorable night! Loved every minute, every song! Wish I could see more shows, already going through withdrawals!" I am no man!"

The band was tight and Ed's voice sounded great. Another outstanding show delivered by PJ. Sleight of Hand made my night, I heard them soundcheck it and prayed it would make the setlist. Great night, thanks PJ!the sorrow grows bigger, when the sorrow's denied0

ah, also forgot to post some Band of Horses love.....tho no opener for PJ is going to be loved by all, they played a good set, and (this is important...) didn't drain the crowd... they are maybe less intense then a lot of the past openers, but it's still emotional stuff...Out of the opening bands i've seen, some were too crazy and some just didn't get any crowd respect (as openers, not speaking of the same bands as headliners of their own shows)....BoH seemed to engage everyone without leaving any listener fatigue.....
all that aside, they are one of my favorite bands, and 1st time seeing em live last nite made for a perfect show for me.....wish they would've played LRC...but Weed party was, um, good...or something..forgot what i was gonna say....i mean type....or somethin.....WEED PARTY!
cheers0
