I go to Loyola University Chicago..so far it has worked out very nicely as far as seeing PJ. Freshman year, Eddie played 2 shows in Chicago the week I arrived, and sophomore year Pearl Jam played 2 shows in Chicago the week I arrived.

Both tours also worked out so that the Boston shows occur while I'm home in New England. :D

PJ didn't play on campus, but they played a legendary little club in town called The Cats Cradle way back when they were getting started, but it was before I was there

    2nd year at Providence College

    Texas A&M University - class of '03

From the Houston area originally, but I lived in Providence from 2005 - 2008 and absolutely loved it up there. I've been itching to move back and hopefully will in the not-so-distant future. Flying up in May to stay with some friends and catch the Hartford and Boston shows. Can't wait!

University of Tennessee--PJ came in 1998 whilst I was in college. My sister was getting married that week. If I had known then what I know now......(it didn't work out).

This is the first summer we have had any real half way decent shows in Knoxville. I don't know why they do not want to come to Thompon-Boling Arena on the UT campus unless it is due to the fact it is a dry campus. Our civic center still rocks though! Alas no one comes.

    Good thread!

Stephen F Austin Univ in Nacogdoches Texas in '93.

The infamous Dave A. "pass out." It was said he had a panic attack... but the running joke was that he had partaken of a certain fungus, the kind that tends to thrive in the deep East Texas piney woods... this was the factor that led to his early departure. I was in high school at the time (a pretty sweet excursion for a sophomore in high school) but I eventually attended SFA and graduated in the late 90's.

When I was at looking at schools in which to attend, SFA used Dissident in the recruitment video... I was sold.

I am now a univ professor in Kentucky but missed PJ @ Univ Kentucky in '03... maybe they will come back.

Graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2002. There were some good shows on campus during my four years (Incubus a couple times, A Perfect Circle, Cypress Hill, 311...) but some of the best shows took place off campus at SB Bowl. My absolute favorite venue where I've seen some incredible shows (Ben Harper, Beastie Boys, Jane's Addiction...) Sadly, I wasn't lucky enough to see either of PJ's shows there in 03 or 06. Hopefully they play there again someday!

Graduated from Notre Dame last spring and was able to see them at Lolla in '07, then EV solo '08 in Chicago. Now I'm in med school at IU, which means Chicago last fall and now Indy this Friday (on my birthday!). I've lucked out so far with their dates and exams, here's hoping that continues. Notre Dame doesn't really schedule big acts anymore, and I'm not sure if they would've had Pearl Jam come anyway. Good thing Chicago was close.

PJ played our college back in 1993. I was like in 4rth grade. My friend went to this show on Nov 11, 1993 and the Butthole Surfers opened.

Couple of famous people went here:

Don Henley (The Eagles is the school mascot, coinsidence??)
    Norah Jones
Deep blue something (they sing Breakfast at Tiffanys, remember that song?? :)

    Dr. Phil McGraw
    Mean Joe Green
Roy Orbison went here, but only for a year I think. He was on the wall of all the famous people.

no PJ at the school...WAY too small, seriously the only famous name i heard going there was just recently, Sean Aston (Sam from Lord Of The Rings, he was also in The Goonies) came (or is scheduled to come)...yeah it's that bad...

though i think our quad would make for a great outdoor venue...there's this elevated platform in front of one of the buildings that sticks out into the quad a little bit. every time i pass it, i think of how great of a stage that would be, still way too small for PJ though

Hey, the Toadies came out of UNT and got started by playing shows in Denton. Got to see them at Austin City Limits just a few hours before Pearl Jam played. They put on a great show. Come to think of it, that was one of the best days of music ever. My last day at ACL was spent watching Mute Math, Citizen Cope, the Toadies, Ben Harper & Relentless7, and Pearl Jam consecutively. That was a hell of a day.
