I can't for the life of me figure out why soooo many people seem to dislike Wishlist. The words are amazing. I don't ever skip any songs, but I agree there are a few that would be skippable. Whale Song for sure. Foxy is not a favorite. Is it really even a song? Some of the skips for some people really make me wonder, but it is a to each his own world, so we must respect all opinions. :D

Never could figure out why Last Kiss was so popular, PJ has so many amazing songs that they have written themselves

A great band can make an obscure old song their own.

Habit. Despite No Code being my favorite album, this is my least favorite song out there. It has that 'hit you over the head with a hammer' kind of subtlety, which can work sometmes, but I can't help but feel that there's a tinge of hypocrisy inside. Of course, I don't even have Hey Foxy on my iPod. It's almost like I'm trying to avoid its very existence.

Everybody skips Stupid Mop .... :(
To me, Vitalogy would be incomplete without it.
I often listen to Vitalogy before sleeping, and couldn't stop before Hey, Foxy..... is over.

I usually skip Alive and Elderly woman.... and sometimes Pilate, but that's only because it comes right after Wishlist and I usually repeat it, so Pilate tends to come up a bit too often and I eventually just skip it. :D

Edit : I still skip Alive and Jeremy. Not Elderly woman nor Pilate anymore.

  • Almost always skip the "weird ones" everyone has mentioned off Vitalogy (except when I'm in the mood to sing along with bugs, but that's a rare occasion)

Can't seem to get through Force of Nature anymore. I've tried to like it, but about halfway through I inevitably hit "next"

Usually skip Jeremy. Definitely my least favorite of the major releases/singles.

Disappointed that some of my faves have been listed by others (In Hiding, Rats, Wishlist, etc...) at least no one has said SOLAT!!!!

to each their own but wow, indifference? You are? these are they types of songs that place them amongst the greatest rock bands of all time....there are maybe a handful of bands that have put out 9 albums with that type of depth....I challenge you to go back and listen to every cd and it is amazing to see how many songs you might have disliked at first listen...but realize they are cool tracks, i.e. insignifficance, 1/2 full, red mosquito, satan's bed...

Have to agree......When No Code came out I wasn't into it, but after time I realized how great some of those songs really are!!

Why does nobody seem to like Pilate or those in between songs on vitalogy? Those are some of my favorite songs! I wouldn't like Vitalogy nearly as much without those (except stupidmop).

Betterman and Daughter never liked either- especially Betterman and a few times at the concerts when the young men sing along I get the feeling they missed the message in that song and are glad she has to settle.
Women must never settle- better to be alone than unhappy and
you can't meet your soulmate if you've settled

well to be fair, it's not only young men who sing along to Betterman. :) and I don't think they sing cause they're missing the message or are glad the woman in the song settles. I know why I sing along - for the joy of singing. :D I love hearing an arena full of people singing along to a song, no matter what the lyrics are.

you say women must never settle. this is true. but the same applies to men. equality, eh? ;)
Yes totally and I too love the sing alongs- I think that makes PJ unique and fun- I don't know maybe it was just the guys around me a few times or maybe my perception- it felt kind of creepy almost- especially the "3am look her over thing"- not a fave of mine-

    betterman is creepy?
they're singing along cause its fun not because a guy is leering at 3am.
do you want the crowd to not sing along and yell, "LEAVE HIM. DON'T SETTLE!!!"
    sounds fun.
    geez
