Flagg's Updated To-Do List:

1) Check on change fee for airline - Check (free since these are reward tickets)
2) Reschedule class I am teaching from 8/2 to 8/1 - Check (they were very understanding)
3) Ask for day off on 8/2 - Check
4) Score tickets - CHECK!!!!
5) Change flight - check
6) Get hotel - check
7) Party -

Threre now. I can go home for the day.

believe it...thats the way it has gone since they started selling tickets online. their website has never been able to handle the demand even after the upgrade.

I got em. I waited for my browser to load, clicked add to cart, both times ie blanked on me. BUT, when I went to my cart, it was there and I checked out!

for future reference, keep clicking the ticket link. refreshing has been known to log you out.

I was logged in before 2, and as soon as the clock hit two i refreshed the site and hit tickets. I kept on having to refresh because it would say "server is busy, check internet connection). finally i got to the part when it said "buy" and i clicked it, and had to refresh even more. The "buy" page came up again and i clicked it, and it said "only one pair per customer" or something, so i realized i already had a pair in my cart. Went to the check out, put in my card number, and got the conformation page.

I'm so glad to hear you scored tix, this is going to be amazing! Is Toni going with you. I was a wee from trying but held myself together and realized I gotta get school supplies and uniforms for the kids this coming month - LOL

Here is basically what happened for me:

Clicked all around about 5 minutes prior to 2 pm.
Right at 2 pm, website slowed tremendously.
F5'd and clicked tickets a couple times back and forth,waiting on hourglass each time.
About 1-2 mins of doing this, Chicago tix showed under 'Tickets'
Clicked icon and about 15 secs later 'Buy' Button showed.
Frantically clicked it and after about another 30-45 secs where status message was reading 'website contacted.....', my order with total charges showed, but the graphics on that page were all messed up. I did have a 'Checkout' button.
Pressed that and after another delay, my shipping address came up for confirmation (I managed to somehow get a tshirt into my cart as well).
Confirmed that screen and got my long order confirmation number. It was probably about 2:08 at that point.

I thought I did everything right - I've purchased tickets on here 7 + times. Never saw a ticket link until almost 30 minutes in. I'm incredibly disappointed...

I had the same thing happen - I got in right away, and it froze well over 2 dozen times, I thought that was it but they were in my cart in the end.

Does anyone know what time the show starts? My flight gets into Midway at 8, but I am going to go standby on the one that arrives much earlier. This same thing happened to the Hawaii show - I had my flight set up and then had to move it to accomodate a new show. It keeps me on my toes. You gotta love it.

Hope this kept scalpers out at least....

That's cool for you...but why didn't many of us even see the icon to buy tix until like 11:20 or so???

Congrats to all those who got through!!!!!

I hit buy, it was spinning, i was so blissed out and then i got knocked out! 1:02 exactly ... can't believe it! And, they weren't in my cart!

Hopefully a miracle will ensue and another show will be added!

Rock out hard all you who are going and please rock a bit harder and louder
for those of us WISHIN we were there with ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any point in still trying? Has anyone got tickets in the last hour?

I'll probably walk over to the Vic and see if anyone there has an extra on the day of the show, that'll be my last resort.

Oh yeah, forgot to add I never saw any of the buttons. I just moved the mouse around until I saw the link ref on the lower corner of ie, tricks of the trade from a software developer...........

Shows at the Vic tend to start around 9:30 - With no delays, you should be ok..

ya that happened to me too and i was in the secure site...ticket tab didnt appear until 2:05 then when i pressed "BUY" i would then press "yes" and then it said "temp unavailable"
it did this twice
