This has always been my favorite track by the band for reasons unknown to me .... maybe the riff and drum layers or maybe this is my favorite album by them.
Desert Plains
...or lyrics....that screams out for riding a motorcycle...just bad ass
Full moon is rising
The sky is black
I need your call I'm coming back
The road is straight cast
Wind's in my eyes
The engine roars between my thighs
From desert plains I bring you love
From desert plains I bring you love
Wild mountain thunder
Echoes my quest
My body aches but I'll not rest
Quartz light to guide me
Till sunrise leads
My passion screams, my heart it bleeds
This is the cover I have on vinyl...Point Of Entry
peace*We CAN bomb the World to pieces, but we CAN'T bomb it into PEACE*...Michael Franti
*MUSIC IS the expression of EMOTION.....and that POLITICS IS merely the DECOY of PERCEPTION*
.....song_Music & Politics....Michael Franti
*The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite INSANE*....Nikola Tesla(a man who shaped our world of electricity with his futuristic inventions)0 -

Some context would be helpful, dude. In this age of twitter-like gratification, as long as I have more than 140 characters, I hope you can spare more of your cognitive abilities to let me know what it is about Priest songs that you would like me to comment about. Make it worthwhile as an online social interaction or just bugger off ... peace.0 -

No kidding. It's ok, some people can find any reason to police a thread, as if each new posts costs money or takes up valuable web real estate and therefore needs to comply with some self-appointed moderator's guidelines on even the most inconsequential of topics, like Judas Priest. If they are unable to make sense of a pretty standard message pit inquiry (like, what songs do you like by this band) and are in need of more context to a simple post, perhaps they need to seek their online social interaction in a place that doesn't post such challenging topics or that bring more worthwile interactions to each and every single thread. Seriously, I've had friendly interactions on this board for nearly a decade I was just told to piss off because someone didn't like the way I posted a 'list your favorite tracks' thread. Peace? Really? How about, roll with it and just be nice to people?0 -

Saw them on Ram It Down tour about 88. Wasn't the biggest fan before but the ticket was free! They were pretty cool then I guess. This clip was earlier and they'd glitzed up a lot!

The Hellion/Electric Eye, while technically two tracks, by far my favorite Judas Priest of all time. The intro riff to Electric Eye is one of my favorite riffs ever. Brilliant songs."Bombs dropping down. Please forgive our hometown"0

You still did not give me any context, dude. Why is your question worth asking?

The same reason a lot of people come on here and ask the exact same question about other bands. Have you never seen a thread that asks something like "What is your favorite Soundgarden song?" "What is your favorite Beatles song" "List your top 5 Pink Floyd songs". I could understand if I was asking a questions with some bit of controversy or confusion, but it's just weird that you feel the need to question my question. It's just something I wanted to know, is that ok with you?0 -
It really does not matter if it is OK with me, my dear. If you do not wish to engage in a discussion with me, that is quite alright. It is no slight against you. I wish for more consequential conversations and I like to know more about why Priest songs interest you. The fact that others ask similar questions does not qualify, to me, as a reason. Feel free to ignore my query; I cannot ask for more than what you are willing to give.

I don't mind if you ask for more, that's absolutely fine. That's a discussion and I'm happy to engage. I would have been happy to reply and elaborate if you just asked, but you basically told me that the way I asked my question was insufficient and instead of just asking you told me to "bugger off". It seemed unnecessary and rude.
By the way, I was considering downloading some Priest and wanted to get some recommendations on what was good. I wanted it to be unfiltered recommendations. I didn't want to ask "What Priest should I download?" because I might have gotten someone's opinion on what I should start with, which is fine, and one way to go about it, but I wanted to simply hear what other people thought their best tracks were.0 -

Amen brother.
This is the album where they took it completely over the top. More drums, more guitar notes per second, more screeching. Faster and louder than any Priest album before it. Fucking insane. I love it.
PAIN!!!It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

Sorry to butt in, but I just don't understand what the big deal is. It's a message board...so maybe he didn't formally give a proper question e.g. "What are the best Judas Priest tracks?", is that really that important?
This is just me, but I really had no problem understanding the OP's intentions when I first opened the thread. You seem intelligent enough to catch on as well, and also to not get so hung up on such an insignificance. I don't think these threads of this type are meant to be taken so literally.7/2/06 - Denver, CO
